Summary
Jill's letters have always made long separations from her bearable, even before Clive became her lover. Now, anticipating a long absence for the first time in months, Jill gives Clive a packet of letters--a veritable treasure trove--to take with him on his journey, with only a few words of guidance: read one, in order, every day until they are gone. Preferably alone.
It should be simple. Of course it isn't.
A Warfield Kinktober 2023 fic where every chapter features a letter exploring a different prompt.

Summary
Jill is aware that one day, this final part of her childhood, her dearest companion, will be taken from her, too.
She tries not to be. She tries not to feel as if an hourglass has been flipped, its sand trickling to a new bottom as minutes and hours and years begin to slip by in a blur.
...
When the day finally comes, it is both far later than she expects and earlier than she ever wishes. Jill thinks that eternity would not have been long enough.

Summary
Clive Rosfield is freshly home from The Great War, relieved of duty with an honorable discharge. Unfortunately, his brother, Joshua, was not so lucky. But when something goes horribly wrong at the funeral, Clive and his closest friend, Jill, have no choice but to turn to Cid Telamon, the mortician who saw Joshua's corpse last. And Cid, ever the tinkerer, believes he can restore Joshua with a little bit of forbidden knowledge.
...
This will eventually end up as a throuple with Clive, Jill and Cid, but there will be many moments focused on the various relationships between all of them. I will try to note which chapters have sex/smut for a particular pair, or for all three, in case you want to skip or search something in particular. I am also writing this as I go, so there are some details regarding kink and such that I haven't figured out yet. I will try to update tags in advance as soon as I know.Bookmarked by peppermeadow

Jill responds: "Isn't it better to regret what we do, than regret what we don't do?"

Summary
Two-Body Problem; noun, Astronomy, Mechanics. The problem of finding the motion, relative to one another, of two objects, where the position of each affects the motion of the other.
He lowers his saber but does not turn it off. “Hey there,” he says. “You need to get out of here, evacuate off the planet. It’s not safe.”
“Mechanical failures on levels four and nine,” the droid responds. “Full breach detected on level twelve.”
Cal frowns. “Maybe it’s stuck in some kind of auto programming?” he asks BD.
“Scanning. Total system failure. Anomaly detected. Signature unknown.”
BD chitters nervously on his shoulder.
“Hey,” Cal tries again. “If you can hear me – the exit is through that corridor, up the incline. Meet me out there, and I’ll get you out of here, okay?”
The droid shuffles around again, as if responding to something that he and BD cannot see.
“Anomaly detected.” it says again. And then it looks right at Cal. “Escape is futile.”
