Summary
“What the hell happened?” Helly asks. Her voice is hoarse. Half drowned.
“At the ORTBO?” Dylan starts. We-”
“Since the OTC,” she corrects him. “It was the last time-” her hands shake and she has to stop to take a breath. “How long has it been?”
-
The last thing Helly R remembers before waking up half frozen in the wilderness, is being tackled during the Lumon gala, after learning she was the worst person in the world, as she pleaded for innies' freedom. She has a lot to learn from what happened since. None of which will be easy to hear.

Summary
She stands awkwardly in the doorway then, feeling like she has completely overstepped all bounds. But Ted just offers her a smile and lifts up the covers in an inviting manner. And she knows she should go back to her home and sleep alone in her bed. But instead, she moves over and slips in next to Ted, feeling peace settle over her almost instantly.

Summary
If Keeley had been surprised by any of it—the sheer amount of food or Rebecca’s fidgeting or the fact that they were making three fucking pies (pecan, pumpkin, and apple butter) because Beard wasn’t sure which one Ted liked best and what was the point, really, if they didn’t have everything Ted wanted, if she didn’t make it all perfectly, if it wasn’t what he needed—
Keeley hadn’t called her on any of it. Which she was grateful for. And a little suspicious of. But mostly grateful, for the way her friend kept looking at her every so often with a soft, reassuring smile.
“He’s going to love it,” she kept saying. “Even if you burn the pudding, he’ll still love it.”
