He was coming for her, to punish her for betraying him, for letting him believe she was someone worthy of his time, his trust, his affection. He was coming to kill her.
And she was going to let him.
All this time, she had thought of herself as someone who had lost the ability to feel anything beyond loss, bitterness and regret.
