Summary
Din Djarin is temporarily relieved of a single dad's responsibilities, only to be saddled with the much greater responsibilities of Mand'alor. Temporarily. Hopefully.
This is not the story of a great man becoming king; it's the story of some dude finding his place in the galaxy, freedom, and personal happiness through having some goddamn decency and good manners. Also the power of love, or whatever.

Bookmarker's Notes
This will forever be one of my favorite Mandalorian fics - the combo of deeply meaningful and serious drama with the pure silliness of real people living real lives <3 also someone writing Grogu and his care who has clearly spent time irl with those chaos sinks we call toddlers

Summary
Din Djarin is not running from his problems. Even if he was, he certainly wouldn't be breaking into a suspicious laboratory on a hunch, nor would he be stealing strangely clairvoyant children—not after losing his own.
Being Mand'alor does not make him a king! No one in their right mind, certainly not Din Djarin, would choose to put the weight of a nation squarely on his shoulders. But apparently this makes him the most eligible bachelor this side of Tatooine.
FEATURING: The slowest burn of the two most powerful idiots in this—or any—galaxy.
