Summary
Obi-Wan has a steady job teaching at the university, a low-rate mortgage on comfortably sized condo in a nicer part of the city, and a respectable social circle. He has no criminal record, no sordid past he’s hiding, he’s in relatively good health, and his friends tell him he would make for an excellent romantic partner.
But Obi-Wan’s not looking for love. That’s far too big a commitment. If love is to find him, it will have to hunt him down and kidnap him first. He usually satisfies himself with pretty young things he meets at bars, but unlike his usual taste in lovers, the doe-eyed graduate student that Obi-Wan keeps finding in the wrong library doesn’t seem to notice his flirting. He might have to spell out his intentions if he wants something more.
Though Anakin is far from the only oblivious one in their library.

The images had been coming all evening, from the moment the door of their quarters closed on Vader’s shadow—brief flickers that bled tangled and hot across the boundary of Obi-Wan’s mind. Obi-Wan knew Vader wasn’t doing it on purpose; they were too haphazard for that, thick and uncoordinated with want where they escaped the edges of his control.
Probably Obi-Wan should be grateful. Those half-seen glimpses were enough to have him hard in his trousers. They were more than enough to have something he couldn’t quite get hold of aching in his chest. If there was one thing Obi-Wan was certain of, it was that Vader could bring him to his knees, near enough, if he chose to share such thoughts with intent.
Or, Vader wants Obi-Wan to tie him up.

Anakin Skywalker arrives back to the Temple to hear the troubling news that Qui-Gon Jinn has not only taken Anakin's padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, into a war zone, but then left him there.
Anakin doesn't like this development at all. It's a shit thing to do with anyone, but to do it to Obi-Wan? The only reason Qui-Gon Jinn isn't in the Halls of Healing is because Anakin's already on his way to Melida/Daan to retrieve his Obi-Wan.
