And now Gabriel Agreste was standing in front of Bugnoir.Marinette paused, staring at him, Lucky Charm still protectively in front of her, though her jaw dropped. “M-Monsieur Agreste?!”
“Drop your transformation, Mademoiselle Dupain-Cheng. Let us pause this fight, when I know there’s an opportunity for negotiation.” He stared, calculating, at Marinette. Surely she’d take this opportunity. He knew both Marinette and Ladybug to be peacemakers, no matter how many complicated teenage emotions she should be feeling at the moment.
Besides, no one, not even a reckless teenage girl, would want to harm her boyfriend’s father.

Summary
Marinette Dupain-Cheng was anything but a normal girl with a normal life. Everyone around her knew this; no one could question it. Though she tried her best to seem just like everyone else, there was an abnormal quality about her; some sort of vibe that just came with someone who was special.
Of course Adrien had always seen it. He’d seen the way that she was so brave and courageous when it mattered, and that strong sense of justice he so admired. It was no coincidence he compared her to his Lady in his head; she was probably the best person he knew outside of Ladybug.
But that certainly did not mean he would trust her with something like this.

Just as she pries her head off the bar, the band playing at the far end of the room stops their song and a new voice booms from the microphone.
“I’m terribly sorry to interrupt but…”
Yor whips around to see a man standing on the small stage in front of the band, squinting into the bright spotlights as he leans into the microphone. He looks exactly like Loid, except slightly more disheveled and unlike his usual polished self. Her heart sinks.
Please don’t let that be Loid, she silently pleads.
“I seem to have lost my wife.”
She buries her head in her hands while mumbling curses.
Yor and Twilight learn the truth about each other. Neither of them expected what unraveled afterwards.
