Maybe pine, um, very familiar…” Remus sighed and closed his eyes softly, Sirius watching the way his eyelashes grazed the skin below. “There’s...cigarette smoke...and...mo-” Remus snapped his mouth shut and stepped back, shocked. Slughorn leaned forward, smiling expectantly.
“Yes? What was the last thing, Mr. Lupin?” Remus stuttered and began backing up quickly.“It was, uh- it was- motor oil.” He turned and walked quickly back to his seat, plopping down into the chair with wide eyes.
Everyone looked around, confused at Remus’s reaction. James had a smug grin climbing onto his lips and Sirius felt as lost as ever.Motor oil? Who smelled like motor oil? Why did smelling motor oil make Remus so upset?
“Oh, wonderful, Mr. Lupin! Very strong reaction, eh? You next, Black.”
