Summary
Not long after the competition, school ends. Not much happens in the week leading up to summer, the two groups of teens avoiding each other like the plague.
On a Thursday night a few days into summer, Drew receives a text.

They sit and continue looking up at the big, starless sky, catching their breaths. After a few minutes of almost-silence (you can never escape the crickets in Wisconsin,) Henry hums contemplatively. Liam makes a noise in question, and Henry tilts his head a little. "I wonder what Drew's up to right now."
Liam hums as well and pulls his phone out of his jacket pocket. It's hard to type with one hand, but he doesn't want to let go of Henry's.

Macaque hates Lunar New Years celebrations. They’re obnoxious, and distracting, and most importantly, loud. Six ears tend to make fireworks a nightmare.
This year is no different, but as much as he wished he was alone in his misery, the mortal scholar seemed insistent on staying around.

Drew freezes. He doesn't turn towards them, like the rest of the class does. What?

Drew's grip tightens on his pencil and he feels sweat drip down the back of his neck. He keeps his eyes narrowed on his paper. There's no way.
"No, sir. Sorry."

Drew begins having prophetic dreams about the events of episodes 8-10. He's freaked out at first, but dismisses them as his brain being stupid. When the things he dreamed about begin happening , however, that's a different story. Suddenly Drew has to learn to be a slightly more well-adjusted 16 year old, for the sake of preventing his friend group and life from falling apart.
