Julian opened his mouth to ask more and was hit by a pain he had never experienced. The boy cried out in pain and doubled over, arm wrapping around his screaming middle. His mother shushed him and pet at him until he was able to catch his breath.
“See what happens to naughty little boys who don’t listen?” Her voice was sharp. “I told you not to say anything.”

"It's all kind of funny, if you think about it." Jaskier's breath warmed Geralt's neck as he spoke. "You wished me out of your life, yet I was cursed right back in. Your ex, who hated my guts, is over there helping us, and...that man, he paid money to have me killed when a witch is doing it for free."
Geralt frowned and nuzzled deeper into dark hair, breathing in a mix of skin, waning excitement, and aftershave. "I don't find that funny."
"Well, that's why you—" Jaskier stiffened suddenly, jerking them to a stop. His arm tightened around Geralt to a somewhat uncomfortable degree. "You should have cut him open and let me bathe in his lavish blood, Geralt."

When Jaskier is cursed to speak with no filter, he and Geralt must journey to fix it before it gets them killed—if they can find the culprit in time. With bandit-infested swamps, noble-infested banquets, and demon-infested bards, the road ahead may bare more truth than either man can handle.
