Chapter Text
"Kacchan… K-Kacchan I'm sorry… I-I-I didn't mean, I didn't mean to, I swear!" Izuku sobbed out. He was standing in the middle of the living room of the Bakugou residence. He was mostly clean, save for the blood covering his hands. The same couldn't be said for the rest of the room. Blood splattered against the sofa, it stained the rug, and it was dripping from the walls.
Katsuki Bakugou, who had just gotten home from quirk counselling, dropped his bookbag in the doorway. "Deku… What did you do?" His eyes were wide and he couldn't tear his eyes away from the crying child in the center of what looked like a horror movie. His voice was uneven and held a horrified tone.
"I just woke up and they, and they were gone! there w-was blood everywhere! Kacchan, I think I killed them, but, but I don't, I don't know what happened!" He sobbed, his entire form trembling. He took a step towards Bakugou and Bakugou took a step back on instinct. "I-I-I was so...so… hungry Kacchan, I don't remember a-anything! Please forgive me!"
-
Aizawa Shouta had been on the Venom case since the first incident occurred. It was two years ago, today, when he was called in to help investigate the murder of the bakugou family and the disappearance of their two children.
Detective Tsukauchi had greeted him on the scene. "good evening, eraserhead."
Aizawa nodded in response. "Detective."
He walked into the home and was almost shocked at how much blood there was. The dark brownish color of dried blood was painted everywhere. He frowned at the sight. Walking carefully, to avoid disrupting any evidence, he explored the rest of the abandoned house. When he reached the kitchen, it was an absolute mess. The fridge looked like it had been turned inside out, the cabinets were emptied, plates and glasses had been shattered all over the floor and counters in a hurry. He left the kitchen and travelled down the hallway to the bedrooms. The bedroom shared between Mitsuki and Masaru Bakugou was a mess. Deep claw marks decorated the walls and bed, their dresser was turned over and clothes were strewn all over the place, jewelry was missing, no sign of any money either. He deduced that Whoever attacked this home was aiming to rob them but the Bakugous must have put up a fight.
The room that was shared by Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku (who was adopted into the family after Midoriya Inko lost her life to breast cancer) was almost stripped clean. All of the clothes were missing, alongside any school supplies that the 8-year-olds might've had. He could see dried footprints and blood smears all throughout the room. Either someone took the boys and their belongings, or they ran away. He went to the bathroom to see if he could get any more information out of the scene, noting that all personal hygiene products had also gone missing. He decided to stick to his second theory. The boys definitely ran away. The cops weren't called the day of the murder, so they were most likely involved in it.
"Eraserhead, what do you think?" An officer asked him, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"I think the kids were involved in the murder somehow or they knew it was coming. They packed all of their things and left, but that doesn't explain the missing bodies or the lone clean spot in the living room." Aizawa told the officer.
"That's a sound theory. We'll have to keep looking into it. You're free to go home for now but I think you'll be put on this case, keep an ear out for a phone call regarding this."
"Thanks. Have a nice evening, officer."
He stopped reminiscing when a sickening crunch caught his attention. He activated his quirk and rushed towards the sound. He deactivated erasure with an exhausted sigh once he reached the source. "Venom."
"Hobo man." Venom turned around, still chewing on the arm of some random villain he caught. Aizawa grimaced.
"You aren't supposed to be out today, you're an every-other-day type of vigilante."
"Not a vigilante, I'm only allowed to eat bad guys." Venom swallowed down the last of the man and grinned at Eraserhead with a disgusting show of blood stained teeth.
"That didn't stop you from eating the Bakugous." Aizawa prodded. He'd never actually managed to talk to venom until about a week or two ago when he tried to cancel them and only got a laugh in the face.
"They were bad people, hobo man. The bitch hit the kids while he watched." They narrowed their eyes.
Well that was news to him. He hadn't heard anything about the Bakugous being physically abusive. From what he found, he knew Mitsuki had a sharp tongue and lashed out verbally, but he didn't think she'd go beyond that. "How do you know that, Venom?" If he could get an answer out of the inky black body, he might finally be able to solve this fucking case.
"Said too much already." V growled and stood up, prepared to take off.
"If the kids are still alive, I could help them." He reasoned.
Venom paused, they seemed to be listening to something or someone. "Help them?" Their eyes focused on the man in all black.
So they are alive.
"Yes, Venom, I could help them. They need somewhere safe to stay and food to eat, I could help them with that."
Venom was silent but they still stared at him, expecting him to go on.
"They need someone to take care of them. My husband and I are willing to provide that for them. They need stability." Aizawa hoped to god that the monster would accept his reasoning. A beat of silence passed between the two before venom spoke again.
"We'll see."
And with that, they were gone.
Aizawa sighed and continued on with his patrol, knowing better than to try to follow them. He almost lost his head the last time he did.
-
The symbiote gave Midoriya control of his body back the moment they were sure nobody was around to see them and he walked them back to the abandoned warehouse they made into a home.
"Kacchan!" He called out.
"What, deku?" Bakugou responded from further in the warehouse. Midoriya ran over with a huge grin on his face.
"Eraserhead wants to take us in! Not like, arrest us or anything. At least I don't think so. V seems pretty content with the idea as well so I think they secretly like eraser. Did you know that he actually has a husband? I really didn't see him as the type to get a significant other or anything-"
"Calm the fuck down real quick. He said he wants to take us in?" Bakugou looked at the kid in front of him that was practically vibrating with energy.
"Yeah! He said he'd take care of us? Wouldn't that be nice, Kacchan? We wouldn't have to worry about food or safety anymore." Midoriya sighed and took a seat in front of his best friend.
Two years ago, Midoriya thought that Bakugou would've hated him and turned him in to the police when he got home to the horrifically bloody scene. But to his surprise, after the initial shock wore off, he just got a hug. A hug and a laugh. He'd been happy that they were gone, that they didn't have to worry about walking on eggshells so that they wouldn't set off his mother. They didn't have to worry about trying to call out for help, only for people to brush it all under the rug and punish them for it.
"Can we really trust him, though? What happens when he finds out that you host V?"
"I… I think we can trust him." Midoriya looked thoughtful. "I have a gut feeling, Kacchan. He'll protect us."
"You haven't been wrong before." Bakugou acknowledged. "What's the plan?"
"V will confront him, and if he meets my criteria, I'll reveal myself." Midoriya shrugged.
"What happens if he doesn't?"
"Then we stay here until he does."

"Did you get any money off the bastard you ate?"
"I got 20,000 yen off of him." Venom popped their head out of Midoriya's shoulder and answered the blonde boy sitting on the old tattered couch he used for a bed.
"Fucking score. I'll get groceries n shit this time. Your birthday's coming up." Bakugou stared up at the ceiling. "Fucking sucks I can't bake you anything again. Neither of us have had cake since we were what, six?"
"Yeah… But it's okay! We gotta put survival first. If everything goes well with eraserhead, who knows? Maybe we'll get to eat cake for our birthdays again." Midoriya grinned.
"Chocolate cake, right?"
"Yes, V, Chocolate cake."
"Good."
"Alright, We should get some sleep. Kacchan has to shop and then it's training for the rest of the day." Midoriya said, pulling out a blanket that was still in pretty decent condition and made his way over to the old mattress placed behind Bakugou's couch. "Good night, Kacchan."
"Night nerd. G'night V." Bakugou called out, turning on his side to get comfortable.
"Goodnight."
-
It was 3am when Aizawa got home. He removed his capture weapon, placing it near the front door. "'m home." he mumbled, knowing his husband would already be asleep. A trio of small bells could be heard jingling, followed by tiny paws on the floor.
"Did I wake y'all up? Sorry." He crouched down to greet the cats properly. "Hello Countess, nugget, and toko. I'm guessing Gib is with 'Zashi?" He hummed, petting each of them softly.
With a sigh, Aizawa stood back up and stretched. He shuffled through his home almost like a zombie. When he reached the room he shared with his husband, he changed and got into bed, kissed a sleeping Hizashi on the forehead, and pet the chunky calico cat known as Gib.
It didn't take him long until crashed from exhaustion.
-
A loud crash startled both children out of their sleep. Eyes wide and alert, they focused on the sound at once.
A kid with red and white hair, around their age stood there. He gripped a large black bookbag tightly, looking like a deer caught in headlights. "I-I didn't know anyone was here, but can I please stay?" Upon closer look, he had bandages dressing his arms and neck along with a pretty nasty black eye.
Midoriya rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. "You're Endeavor's son, right? What are you doing here?"
The boy froze at the mention of the pro hero. "I ran away." He pulled at his bandages.
Midoriya shared a look with Bakugou. "Does he hurt you?"
"Can I eat him?" Venom said to nobody but Midoriya.
"V, not right now." Midoriya hissed under his breath.
Todoroki nodded. "Says it's training but it hurts a lot."
"You can stay or whatever. How old are you?" Bakugou sleepily asked the still standing child.
"Call me Shouto and I'm 8." Midoriya smiled wide at the boy. He was about to introduce himself and bakugou only to get interrupted by Venom. They poked their head out, unseen by the newcomer.
"Izuku is 9 and Katsuki is 9."
"...What was that voice…?" Shouto looked uneasy and took a step back.
"We didn't even fucking introduce ourselves yet, V." Bakugou groans. "You weren't supposed to be introduced until he was comfortable ."
"Not my problem. Also I'm hungry."
"You know the rules, V. Every other day." Midoriya told the symbiote before turning back to the still very uncomfortable Shouto. "I'm Midoriya Izuku, That's Bakugou Katsuki, and that voice is Venom, we call him V. They're-"
"They're a shitty fucking parasite." Bakugou finished.
"YOU TAKE THAT BACK."
Bakugou cackled and flipped the currently non-visible venom off.
"Venom the vigilante…? You're that monster that goes around eating villains?" Shouto took a step forward. He looked a little less uneasy.
"Yeah! V takes over whenever we go out at night." Midoriya said.
"Father hates them. He says they take all the villains for themselves with no regard for heroes. Can… Can I see them?" Shouto took another step deeper into the warehouse.
A beat of silence passed before the youngest of the group nodded. Shouto watched in awe as an inky black substance slowly began to encase Midoriya. He watched as his height changed and he looked a lot bigger than usual. The symbiote's teeth formed and the transformation was finished.
"Hello Shouto."
Shouto stared at them curiously. "You look very strong."
"I am." They grinned.
He paused thoughtfully. "Could you beat Endeavor?"
"No human on your earth could beat me."
"Okay good." Shouto nodded and walked further into the warehouse. He sat down on the floor and began unpacking his bag. "Can I ask you more questions?"
"Yes. Katsuki needs to go shopping."
"Yeah, Yeah, I'm on it." Bakugou rolled his eyes and got up from his couch.
"Get chocolate or your liver is mine, bomb child."
-
Aizawa groaned in annoyance as he was awakened from his dreamless sleep by a phone call. He glared at the bright '6:45am' before answering the phone. "Hello?"
"Did I wake you?" A voice asked.
"Yeah but it's fine. What's up, detective?" He rubbed his eyes.
"Endeavor's demanding that we look for his youngest son. He claims he's been kidnapped." Tsukauchi said.
"I'll ask around. Wouldn't be surprised if the kid ran away." He ran his fingers through Hizashi's hair as he slept.
"Me neither. How's the venom case going?"
Aizawa hummed. "I've made progress. Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku are still alive, I can finally say that in confidence. Venom seems to be holding them somewhere, but I don't think it's hurting them. If anything, it cares for them."
"That's… interesting. Not something I expected, but a welcome development nonetheless. Alright, I'll let you get back to sleep. Bye, Aizawa." Aizawa made an acknowledging sound and the detective hung up.
He laid back down and tried to get back to sleep to no avail. He stared up at the ceiling in absolute boredom. He didn't know how much time had passed before Hizashi stirred. "Shou? What're you doing awake?" He blinked, focusing on him.
A sigh left his lips. "Tsukauchi called. Endeavor's kid is missing, I'm almost positive the kid ran away."
"Did you make any progress with Venom?" Hizashi yawned and sat up. A small 'mrrp' was heard from Gib as a sign of protest. He rubbed his back in apology.
"...We should get a bigger house."
"That was… completely unprompted- Wait, unless you mean you're planning on adopting them?" The blonde's eyes widened.
"Nothing's set in stone, but they're so young, 'Zashi. They need stability."
"I know what you mean, Shou. Want me to start looking for houses while you catch up on sleep?" Hizashi pressed a kiss to His husband's forehead and fully got out of bed.
"Yeah that'd be nice." Aizawa mumbled, his eyes already feeling heavy.
-
Through the trees and overgrown weeds, 3 feet from the warehouse stood a hooded figure, unknown to the children (and symbiote) inside.

Chapter 3
Notes:
Venom unfortunately isn't in this chapter, but they'll be there in the next one :)
Chapter Text
Bakugou pulled his hood further over his face. Despite the incident happening two years ago, he and Midoriya still had missing posters up. He'd rather not risk getting caught. His hands went back into his pockets as he walked to the closest convenience store and kept his head down.
They'd managed to get a microwave, a rice cooker, and a power source about a year ago when Venom came across a bank robber. They didn't know if they should've returned the money or kept it, but came to the agreement that they needed all the money they could get.
He checks items off his mental list as he quickly collects the items they need. batteries, instant ramen, water, rice, chips, and chocolate. He paid quickly and made his way back to the home he shared with Midoriya, Venom, and now Shouto. He narrowed his eyes at the hooded figure watching the building. "Who the fuck are you and what the hell do you want."
The person tensed and turned to face the defensive kid. The first thing Bakugou noticed were sharp blue eyes, similar to one of that kid they just met. He put his hands up in surrender as he spoke. "No need to get so tense, kid. Just tryna make sure my brother's safe." He was taller than Bakugou and some of his skin looked burnt and scarred from what he could see.
"Brother?"
"Shouto. The kid with red and white hair. I ran away too, I did it when I was around his age… Probably older." He looked at bakugou. "Call me Dabi." He held a hand out for the kid to shake. Bakugou just glared at the hand and held up the bags.
"Right. Need any help with those?" Dabi offered.
Bakugou scowled. "I fuckin' got it! I don't need your shitty help."
"If you say so." Dabi shrugged and allowed Bakugou to walk up to the door first. A beat of silence passed and a soft 'open the damn door' was heard. He snickered but opened the door anyway.
"'m back. We got company or whatever." He called out and shuffled his way towards the makeshift kitchen area. There were boxes that contained paper plates, bowls and cups, a seperate box for plastic and wooden, a large pack of napkins, and a box of pots.
A small section slightly away from the boxes, held the cooking area. It contained a rice cooker, a microwave, and a portable stove top. There was a large plastic bin that Midoriya found when they ran away that they used to wash anything that wasn't easily disposable. A raggedy cloth sat on the side of the currently empty bin.
Bakugou began unpacking the food and placing them in their respective boxes. Uncooked rice went in the box that was labeled "rice", Instant Ramen went in the box labeled "ramen" and so on. When he finished unpacking everything, he collected the loose bags and put them all in one and set it to the side. The water was placed near the rice. He glanced over the area and nodded to himself before walking back into the "lounge" area, where Dabi stood.
"What're you doing? You came in here to see the fucking candy cane, didn't you?"
Dabi looked at him for a moment. "Kid, how old are you?" Bakugou furrowed his eyebrows. What did that have to do with anything?
"I'm 9."
"9. Wow. It's… Is it just you and the other two?" Dabi's expression was unreadable. Bakugou couldn't figure out what he was getting at.
"Yeah, why? What the hell are you getting at?" His hands sparked in mild annoyance.
"I… Shit. I'm gonna stay here with you guys."
"What."
He sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. "Look, you're all really fucking young. I don't even know how long you and freckles have been out on the streets, but I can't just leave you here alone."
Bakugou said nothing and opened the door to a room they claimed as a bedroom. Shouto was laying on Midoriya's bed listening to him as he rambled on and on about which proheros were his favorite and why. He grabbed the 17 year old and pushed him into the room. Shouto didn't notice the added presence but Midoriya's was alerted instantly. His attention turned towards the tallest person in the room.
"He wants to live with us. He seems… Worried." Bakugou spat the last word like it was poison. He couldn't remember the last time someone wanted to actually take care of them.
Midoriya nodded and studied the newcomer. His attention was drawn towards his eyes in particular. They were the same shade of blue as Shouto's left eye. "Are you related to Shouto? You have the same eye color."
That was when Shouto looked up at Dabi. He held a look on his face that seemed to emulate confusion before suddenly his eyes widened. "Touya?"
-
A chorus of meowing followed Aizawa as he walked through his house. He glanced down at the cats who were all looking up at him with wide, adorable little eyes. He sighed and changed course to the food bowls. "I might as well feed y'all now." He poured the food into the individual bowls.
Countess was a purebred persian cat with heterochromia. She had one green and one blue eye. She seemed to hate anyone that wasn't Aizawa or Hizashi. She laid on her perch, up away from the other cats like she was better than the others (cause she was).
Nugget was a small brown tabby kitten that they'd taken in about two months ago. He was extremely playful and just overall the most energetic out of the four cats.
Toko was a black cat with a missing eye and a mild intelligence quirk. He was found by Aizawa while he was on patrol. Aizawa had saved him from an abusive and extremely superstitious owner when he was a kitten. He was extremely cautious and hostile towards both him and Hizashi but over the course of a year+, He decided to trust that they wouldn't hurt him.
Gib was a very chonky calico cat. She was put on a diet, but somehow found her way into anything and everything that she could eat. At this point, they'd have to get child safety locks on the cabinets just to keep her out.
Once the food was poured into each of their bowls, He continued into the kitchen to finally make his coffee. His hands lazily tapped the counter as he waited for it to finish. What was Venom up to right now? Were the kids safe? Were they eating enough? Questions like these kept him so caught up in his own thoughts that he almost didn't hear the shuffling of Hizashi's slippers.
"G'morning, love. Wanna see the houses I found?" The blonde held a laptop in his hands as he approached his husband. "If your theory is right, I picked out a couple places that had the space for endeavor's kid as well."
Aizawa examined the houses. "Shit, they're all pretty out of budget. We'll have to work a bit harder to save up."
"I'm willing to sacrifice a few weeks worth of sleep to keep the little ones off the street." Hizashi smiled softly and Aizawa swore he fell in love with him a little bit more.
Chapter 4
Notes:
warnings: attempted r*pe (it's very brief), a pretty graphic description of venom eating someone
Chapter Text
Dabi shifted his weight. "Hey, Shouto. I wasn't uh, I wasn't banking on you recognizing me." He pulled the hood off of his head. His hands went back in his pockets. Dyed black hair glinted in the light of the solar powered lanterns that kept the place lit.
"We thought you died!" Shouto stood up and rushed to his oldest brother, His arms wrapped around his waist tightly and he buried his face in the hoodie. He smelled like cigarettes and a campfire but it was extremely comforting to him. Dabi's face softened and he hugged the child back. His left hand gently carded through the smaller boy's hair .
"I know. He would've tried to find me if I just ran away, the only way I could really escape is if I faked it. I'm here now." He reassured Shouto quietly. "Trust me, I didn't want to leave you three with him. Especially not after what happened with mom, but I couldn't take it."
"Very touching moment. But I'm HUNGRY, Izuku."
"You do this every time, V. We went out yesterday, we're not going out today! You don't even eat things that have been dead for longer than 24hrs, so it's not like we could stock up bodies!" Midoriya complained out loud. The wildly out of context statement caught Dabi off guard. He continued to hold his brother while he glanced at Midoriya in wild confusion.
"Oh yeah! Forgot you're new." He mumbled to himself, mostly. "Yeah so uh, Have you, um, have you ever heard of Venom?"
"Well yeah, I'm an active criminal, I'm kinda scared shitless by it."
"Good."
"Shut up. Anyway, uh, Would you believe me if I said I'm Venom? Or well, rather I'm hosting them?" Midoriya tilted his head as he looked up at Dabi. The man froze and his eyes widened.
"I'm sorry, what?" He just admitted to being a fucking criminal in front of the thing that literally ate criminals.
"Mhm! We won't eat you though, 'cause you're Shouto's brother, so you probably got hurt by Endeavor too." Midoriya smiled up at him and Dabi got hit with an overwhelming sense of relief.
"That's… That's good. Thank you?" This small, 8 year old child could easily play god if he felt like it. A black tendril-like thing sprouted from Izuku's shoulder with a mock salute and Dabi stared at it in mild discomfort.
·
Night fell and the group had finally finished introducing themselves enough to be comfortable with each other. Midoriya and Bakugou never disclosed how they ended up homeless, but the other two chose not to press for it, especially not with Venom around and very vocal. Dabi got to see them up close and personal at one point and he'd be lying if he said they weren't impressive.
After an argument that was extremely entertaining to watch, Midoriya caved in and allowed Venom control for the night, which automatically meant he'd be going hunting.
The sky was dark and you couldn't see a single star in the sky due to all of the light pollution. Venom stalked through the city when a scream caught their attention. Sharp claws dug into the brick of the wall beside them and they scaled it to travel via the rooftops.
They made their way to the scene quickly and peered into a dark alleyway. A man held a girl that was significantly younger than him at knifepoint as he ordered her to strip. Venom watched and he could feel the disgust radiating from Midoriya.
"He is bad, right?"
"Horrible."
"Good."
They jumped from the top of the building, the ground cracked a little under the force. The man who looked to be in his 50s stares at Venom in horror. There were warnings from almost everyone in the city of a monster that ate criminals, but he was too stupid to adhere to them.
Venom grinned sharply. "You'd be a very fulfilling meal." They ran towards the man who had dropped his weapon in sheer stupidity and ran. The girl went the opposite direction, rushing home, wherever that was. It took Venom all of two seconds to catch the man and pin him down to the ground.
Drool dripped from the symbiote's mouth and landed in disgustingly wet blobs on his face. "You were so close to death anyway, really, I'm doing you a favor." Those were the last words the man heard before Venom unhinged their jaw and bit the man's head off, swallowing it whole. Blood sprayed from his now headless body all over the concrete sidewalk. The man, who had been struggling went completely still.
The sound of a throat being cleared caught their attention. They turned to the source and caught Eraserhead staring, trying his best to avoid looking at the body underneath them. "It's rude to interrupt when someone's eating, hobo man." To emphasize their point, venom snapped one of the legs off of the body and ate it. Their claws dug into the leg tightly almost enjoying the sight of blood pouring out.
"Venom, I'm here to ask about the children." Eraserhead asked, trying to avoid gagging at the sight.
"They have a protector now, they do not need your help." Venom narrowed their eyes, ripping off another limb.
"What? What do you mean?"
"A boy, older than them but younger than you. He wants to take care of them, so he is." Getting tired of the conversation already, Venom digs into the body, consuming it quickly. "Drug addicts always taste the worst." They snarled.
"How old is he? The kids' new "protector"?" He was only 23, so having someone younger than him take care of these kids was concerning to say the least.
"17. Stop asking questions about them."
"Venom, please reconsider, I just want them all safe. Have you heard or seen anything about a boy with red and white hair?" Eraserhead knew pressing the monster more for information about the children would end horribly, so he changed the subject.
"He's with the others. He is a nice child. I'll eat his father." Venom rose from his sitting position on the sidewalk.
"You only eat bad guys?"
"He isn't an exception." With that, Venom left the area, leaving Eraserhead to stare at the blood soaked sidewalk in silence. If what Venom implied was true, that means his theory was right. Shouto ran away from his father who was most likely abusing him.
As Venom abandoned the site they could hear Midoriya complaining about the way things went. Venom wasn't listening to what they agreed on and it pissed him off a little.
"V we had a deal! We were supposed to test him!"
"I do not trust him."
"He hasn't reported us to anyone yet. He's probably telling the truth."
Venom stopped to consider the child's words. "If he finds out that you are my host he'll get rid of me. I'm too attached to you, Izuku, I don't want to lose you."
"I know, V. I don't want to lose you either. That's why we need this test."
"Fine. We will do your stupid test."
Chapter 5
Notes:
A slightly longer chapter that also includes a timeskip~
Chapter Text
It had been an additional two years before Venom allowed Midoriya to carry on with the test. Venom hadn't trusted Eraser and wanted to watch him from afar for a while before they were completely sure that the children could be entrusted to him. Within those two years, Dabi and Shouto grew closer than ever and Dabi even considered Midoriya and Bakugou to be his younger brothers as well.
Dabi led training sessions and taught them how to defend themselves properly. Midoriya only relied on Venom four times in the entirety of their two years of training. Each of those times were to heal injuries that would've put him out of commission for a while if they weren't healed.
Despite his disdain for his father, Shouto used his fire often. Early on, Midoriya and Dabi managed to convince him to use it. Refusing to use his left side meant that he was still affected by Endeavor, using it meant that he was no longer under his control and accepted the power as his own and no one else's.
Bakugou was the most agile of the group, under Dabi's supervision he learned how to keep himself in the air for up to 25 seconds using his quirk. The two of them got into petty arguments frequently but anyone who knew them was aware that it was just friendly fire.
Venom and Dabi had a relationship that was built on mutual respect. Venom tolerated Dabi because he kept the kids safe when he and Midoriya were out. Dabi respected that Venom seemed to genuinely care for the children. He also thought the Symbiote was fucking hilarious whenever they decided to pop out for a bit and talk.
-
It's been two years since Aizawa last saw Venom. The symbiote seemed like it was avoiding him and he was starting to lose hope. Hizashi and the cats could only offer so much comfort as he lost sleep worrying about them. He recently got a teaching position in UA's hero course and just preparing for that took a toll on his sleeping schedule.
"Sho, you know you don't have to go out again tonight, right? You need rest." Hizashi complained to his husband. It was about 15 minutes before Aizawa was set to patrol.
"Something feels… off about tonight, 'Zashi. I think they might actually show up." He grabbed his capture weapon and settled it on his shoulders.
"Are you sure? I really don't wanna see you come home upset again." His eyes were soft behind his glasses. He knew that Aizawa would still go out anyway.
"Call it a gut feeling." He grinned, kissing him on the forehead before leaving the house.
He started his patrol early, sticking to the shadows and rooftops of the rundown area that Venom seemed to like. Against his best efforts, he couldn't stop the hope that continued to bubble up in his chest night after night, only to pop the moment his patrol ended. He placed his hands in his pockets momentarily before freezing completely.
There, under the glow of a street lamp, stood a small boy with thick, curly green hair. Freckles dotted his cheeks, the clothes he wore were old and two sizes too big for him. The kid smiled wide at him. "Hi, Mr. Eraserhead!"
He tried to snap out of his shock but still hesitated on his words. "...Midoriya Izuku…?"
"Yep! Venom finally let me go out tonight, I would've done this sooner but they don't trust you." His eyes shone with childish innocence but there was something darker in them, something a lot more sinister.
"I… Midoriya, you're safe right? You and the others?" He crouched down to meet the boy's height, keeping his distance to avoid scaring the kid off.
"Mhm! We get our money from Venom and their… activities, so we get to eat often. Haven't had a home cooked meal since… Um, well, anyway, I just wanted to thank the man that dedicated, like, five years of his life to finding us." Midoriya beamed.
"Why don't you come home with me? We have plenty of space for all of you, I promise." Aizawa held a hand out for Midoriya to take. The 10 year old studied it.
"You won't arrest any of us, right? Including our big brother? You won't take him away from us?" His eyes never left the man's hand.
"I swear it, as long as he hasn't put you or the other children in harm's way."
"No matter what happens or what you learn, you won't separate any of us, right?" Midoriya took a hesitant step forward.
"I promise, Midoriya. Nothing you do or reveal to me, will make me separate any of you. You're all brothers, right? It would be extremely wrong and unheroic of me to do that." Aizawa was glad he was making progress with the child, but what could he have been through that would force him to reassure him so much?
Midoriya walked a few more steps forward but stopped a foot away from him. He seemed to be listening to something before he answered what aizawa assumed to be a voice.
"He promised, why would a hero lie?"
Aizawa tried not to show his confusion on his face. Midoriya motioned for him to take off his goggles, so with some reluctance, he did. The kid walked towards him, close enough for him to grab. He held the hero's face in his small hands and just stared into his eyes. Aizawa couldn't really do anything other than stare back.
A beat of silence passed and Midoriya smiled widely at the hero. "We trust you." His voice seemed layered, like he wasn't the only one talking but he brushed it off in favor of letting a sigh of relief escape him.
"Would you like to come home with me now?" Aizawa offered but Midoriya shook his head and grabbed his hand.
"I'm taking you to our home! The others usually listen to V's judgement but big brother is still sceptical about having a hero take us all in. He's a wanted criminal." The fact that the kid said that with a smile on his face unnerved him a little but he wasn't surprised.
"Alright kid, lead the way."
-
Bakugou was in the middle of wrestling with Dabi, who was like a foot taller than him. In his opinion, he was kicking Dabi's ass but to both Icyhot and Scarface he was getting his shit handed to him. When Dabi pinned him down to the floor for the second time in a row his hands sparked in annoyance.
"Woah, careful there, Kitty Kat, don't wanna burn someone." Dabi teased which caused him to spark even more.
"Fuck off, Scarface! You can handle it even if I did!" He was about to use his quirk to get him off the floor and laugh at him again when the door opened.
There stood Midoriya and the person he assumed to be Eraserhead. Their hands were connected and all heads turned towards them. Eraserhead's eyes were wide in shock.
"He passed the test?" Shouto asked out to break the silence.
"Yep! We won't reveal everything right away, but I'm introducing everyone." Midoriya said as he dragged Eraser into the building, Venom closing the door behind them, out of The older man's sight.
"Mr. Eraserhead, This is Kacchan!" He gestured to Bakugou. The blonde narrowed his eyes at the man, studying him.
"Katsuki Bakugou. Deku he looks fuckin' homeless how the hell does he have a house?" Bakugou turned to look at the green haired child.
"Kacchan we are homeless."
"Yeah but at least we don't fuckin' look like it."
Eraserhead elected to ignore the child's comments regarding his appearance as Midoriya gestured towards the oldest person living in the warehouse. "That's our big brother, D-"
"Dabi. I know him." Aizawa's eyes held a sort of sympathy.
The man in question grinned at him, letting go of Bakugou who grunted at the loss of pressure on his arms and torso. "Didn't know you were the great Eraserhead, if I did, I would've convinced V to let 'Zuku do the test a lot earlier."
Midoriya looked at the two confused. "How do you know him?"
"When I was 20, about 2 years after my debut, I ran into him when he was what? 14? His burns were still relatively fresh and he didn't have the money to get treatment or food. I was still struggling financially but I couldn't just leave him there, So I gave him what I had in my wallet and told him I'd be back to give him more."
"Yeah n you did come back. Every other week for two years 'til you were forced to move zones." Dabi hummed. "Had to do some pretty fucked up shit for money after that, but I don't hold it against you."
Aizawa nodded. "I'm glad it was you taking care of them, kid."
"Thanks, did my best."
Midoriya was smiling in absolute glee at this point. Dabi was the biggest variable in the plan and learning that he already trusted Eraserhead made everything significantly better. "Last but not least, Shouto! He doesn't like his last name, so he dropped it altogether."
Shouto looked at Eraserhead skeptically. What would keep him from turning him over to his father for cash? All heroes were the same, right? But he never tried to capture Venom and he took care of Touya when he was still starting out, so he can't be like Endeavor. "Nice to meet you." He spoke quietly.
"It's nice to meet you too, Shouto. Do you all want to come with me now or should I come back for you later?"
"You still have patrol, right? You can send Present Mic in the morning!" Izuku chirped as he let go of Eraser's hand and draped himself over Bakugou who vocally protested but didn't really do anything to get him off.
"How did you- Nevermind. I'll be sure to send him by. Also, I dont think I saw Venom anywhere."
Unknown to Eraser, three pairs of eyes focused on Midoriya for a brief moment. "Oh! Uh, they're probably, uhm, h-hanging around somewhere." Midoriya offered. Aizawa narrowed his eyes but accepted the excuse. He offered his goodbyes to the group and continued his patrol in a significantly lighter mood.

Chapter Text
A knock on the door startled Midoriya awake. Venom was alert and stretched themselves out to peek through the window. They returned not a moment later. "It's the loud one."
Midoriya rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and yawned. "Alright, thanks, V. I'll take it from here." He got up with a groan, waking Shouto up first. He was usually the easiest to wake up in the mornings. Bakugou threatens to explode anyone that tries to wake him up and Dabi sleeps through loud noises. Nobody wanted to risk waking him up physically, since they're all vividly aware of just how damaged his body is.
Shouto blinked slowly, looking up at the grinning child above him. "Good morning, Izuku. Good morning Venom." His voice was scratchy.
"Good morning!"
Midoriya skipped over to the door in the baggy T-shirt he used to sleep in and opened it. He was met with a kind smile and even kinder eyes. "Hey, little listener, I'm guessing you're Midoriya?"
The man got an excited nod in response. "You're present mic! Oh, I haven't listened to your show in years!! I've really been meaning to ask, how does your quirk work? Well I have some theories, but those are really just theories and you can never be too sure y'know? You could probably shatter glass if you used your quirk at the right frequency…" Midoriya continued to ramble on about the logistics of the man's quirk, leaving him completely stunted for a moment. He absolutely wasn't expecting this.
"Oi! Shut the hell up! 'M tryna sleep!" A groggy voice yelled out, cutting Midoriya off. The child paused and blinked.
"Kacchan, I was muttering, you're acting like I was yelling."
"I just have a 6th sense for your stupid dumb quirk rambles and you KNOW it." He scowled.
A sudden jolt and Dabi was up, his eyes wide and unfocused, sweat glossing his forehead. Midoriya rushed over immediately. He placed his hands on either side of his scarred face. Dabi's eyes drifted towards him. "You're at the warehouse, Kacchan was yelling at me for mumbling and Shochan is awake! Present Mic just got here, think you can say hi?"
He nodded slowly and turned to look at the blonde man that stood still in the doorway. "Hey." His voice was raspy and he looked like he was shivering. Present Mic offered him a calming smile in reply.
"Good! Do you need a moment or can you get ready?"
"Gimme a moment, kid." Dabi mumbled. Midoriya nodded and removed himself from the man's personal space. He made his way over to Bakugou who stared up at the ceiling in annoyance.
"We worked hard for this goddamn warehouse, I don't wanna leave it."
"Yeah, I know what you mean, Kacchan. I'm really gonna miss it here…"
Mic stood in the doorway, thoughtful. "I think I might be able to work something out. If we manage to buy this warehouse, we could fix it up a bit and let you all stay here every so often!"
Bakugou looked at him in shock before quickly narrowing his eyes. "What's the catch?"
"No catch, little one. This building seems to be important to you all, so I want to help preserve it." He smiled.
"Thank you, Present Mic!" Midoriya said.
"You can call me Hizashi."
-
Aizawa woke up to the front door opening. He could hear Hizashi chatting away with someone who seemed just as eager to talk to him. He rubbed his eyes and sat up despite Toko meowing at him to stay put. He apologized to the black cat and got out of bed.
Shuffling into the living room from his bedroom he paused at the sight of four additional faces, momentarily forgetting that he was spontaneously adopting the group. He blinked slowly with furrowed eyebrows before Midoriya beamed at him. "Hello Mr. Eraserhead!"
He finally remembered. "Hey, kid. Y'all can call me Shouta or Aizawa if you want." When he received an acknowledgement from each of them, he continued. "'Zashi can show you to your rooms… Izuku and Katsuki, I assume you two are okay with sharing a room?"
"Yeah, it'd be weird if we didn't." Bakugou replied.
Aizawa watched Dabi take in the appearance of the house out of the corner of his eye. "Dabi, Shouto, are you okay with sharing?"
A distracted "yeah that's fine" came from the older and a nod from the younger.
Hizashi took over from there but Aizawa was far too exhausted to pay attention to anything. He shuffled into the kitchen and made a pot of coffee. As he waited for it to be ready, he dug through the spices, only to be greeted with severe disappointment.
"'Zashi we're out of cinnamon." He complained to the blonde, who was still helping the kids unpack.
"You're gonna have to drink it black for a while, Sho." Hizashi rolled his eyes, pulling a stack of notebooks out of a box and handing them to Midoriya.
":("
"How the hell do you do that?" He laughed.
"I have my ways." Aizawa grinned but before he could leave, Hizashi stopped him.
"We're gonna have to work overtime for a while." He said.
A look of confusion graced Aizawa's face. "Why?"
"We're buying the old warehouse."
Aizawa took note of the hesitant glances that Midoriya and Bakugou kept shooting him. "Fine by me." He pretended not to see the sheer amount of relief on their faces.
"Great! 'Cause I was prepared to fight you on this." Hizashi jokes. Their conversation was cut short by a tiny gasp down the hallway. Aizawa poked his head into the room that Shouto and Dabi would share and tried to hide the smile that threatened to show on his face.
Dabi was sprawled on the floor with three cats draped over various parts of his body. Upon searching for Countess, he saw her being cradled by Shouto, who practically had sparkles in his eyes as he held her to his chest.
Dabi complained about him "creeping" on them, but it was hard to take him seriously when nugget was sleeping soundly, nestled in his hair. Shouto looked up at Aizawa with the faintest hint of a smile on his face and wonder in his eyes. "What's her name?"
"That's countess, she doesn't usually like people enough to let them touch her, so the fact that you're holding her right now is a miracle." Aizawa replied.
The light in his eyes almost seemed to get even brighter at the information. "I am the chosen one." He whispered in awe and Aizawa couldn't hold in the soft smile that creeped up on his face.

Should I keep Midoriya hosting Venom hidden from Mic & Eraser for a while longer?

Chapter Text
It was late in the evening when everything had been set up and unpacked. Dabi relished in the softness of the mattress he'd been given. Almost made him forget about his chronic pain. He laid on his back and stared up at the ceiling as he listened to a cat purring accompanied with the soft cooing of his little brother. Shouto already seemed to love Countess dearly, which made him happy. He was glad that his younger brothers were happy here.
A few minutes of relaxation passed before Dabi sat up and ruffled Shouto's hair. He stood up with a stretch and walked to the door, only pausing when the kid spoke. "You don't have to go tonight… They said they would take care of us, we don't need the money anymore." Heterochromic eyes stared deeply into his.
"I can't just disappear outta nowhere, snowflake. This'll be the last time." He said, putting his hands in his hoodie pockets.
"You promise?"
"Promise." He smiled.
Shouto nodded and directed his attention back to Countess. "Okay, go say bye to izuchan and kacchan."
Dabi just grinned. "Got it." He walked out of the room and down the hall towards the bedroom shared by Midoriya and Bakugou. When he poked his head in he caught a glimpse of black going into Midoriya's body. "Might wanna close the door next time V's out." He teased, startling Bakugou.
"Fuck you, give a warning next time!" He complained.
Dabi let out an amused snort. "Yeah, whatever you say boom box." Bakugou snarled at the nickname but couldn't get a word out as Dabi kept going. "Anyways, I'm going out for a bit."
Midoriya frowned. "You know how we feel about you doing that."
"I know, I know. This'll be the last time, I swear." He said.
A head poked out of Midoriya's shoulder with narrowed eyes. "It better be or Plan V1 goes into effect. Do you understand, Dabi?"
Dabi's eyes widened a little and he unconsciously held his right arm. "Shit, yeah, I got it loud n clear, V."
"Good." And with that, they disappeared back into Midoriya. The green haired child told him to stay safe with Bakugou reluctantly agreeing and Dabi left the room.
He dodged Nugget, who was running around the house at full speed. "Where are you going?" Hizashi asked as he approached the door. He'd been in the kitchen figuring out what to prepare for dinner, considering they hadn't been expecting to take the kids in and Aizawa definitely didn't want to waste any time in getting them here.
"Going out to meet a friend, I should be back in time for dinner, though." Dabi shrugged.
Hizashi nodded at the answer. "Oh wait, Sho wanted to know where the chocolate went, did you eat any?"
Dabi sent him a knowing grin and pulled his hood on. "I didn't, but I might have an idea of who did."
"Who?"
He glanced at the watch that was definitely on his wrist and not imaginary. "Oh look at the time, I'm gonna be late." Dabi excused himself, laughing at the confused look on the others' face.
He closed the door behind him and made his way down the street to the address typed into his phone. He dug a small bag out of his pocket and stared at it as he walked. The money he got for this stuff was almost too good to pass up. Key word: almost. In the past few years, he'd gained the respect of the most notorious villain killer and the children they protected. Bakugou and Midoriya were like little brothers to him while Shouto actually was his flesh and blood. He started selling out of necessity but he didn't need to anymore. No, They all had Eraserhead and Hizashi to take care of them. They'd get to be kids again.
He'd been so deep in thought that he just barely managed not to miss the address. A largely muscled person with sunglasses on stood at the meeting spot. The area was in the sketchier part of town but he was known enough not to worry too much.
"You're Dabi, I assume?" The voice had a feminine tone to it.
"Yeah, Magne?" He asked and the man? nodded.
"Mhm. Are you sure you wanna hand it over for free? You know how it is out here. Money's hard to come by without a few unsavory sacrifices." They seemed concerned.
"Yeah man, my brothers hate when I sell and tonight's my last night so why not do one good deed, right?" He held the bag out for Magne to take.
"To clarify, I'm a woman, but I was unaware that the infamous Dabi had brothers." She raised an eyebrow over her shades as she took the bag.
Dabi put his hand up in surrender. "My fault. But to respond to your second statement, I like to keep my family situation under wraps."
"Then why are you telling me?"
"You seem nice. Like an older sister in a way. Anyway, I'll be off now. Enjoy your drugs, big sis." He said the last part sarcastically but smiled when she waved him off.
The exchange only took about five or so minutes, so with any luck, he would actually make it back in time for dinner. He put his hands in his pockets and pulled his hood further over his black hair.
Judging by the sudden spike of heat behind him, luck wasn't on his side.

Chapter Text
Bakugou didn't know what the fuck to think. He'd just gotten away from the quirk lady and all he wanted to do was go home and sleep. When he got to the door, he prayed that his mother was blacked out on the couch and his father wouldn't force him to wake her up. He just wanted one day where he could feel comfortable at home. There wasn't a single day that passed where he felt at peace there.
So imagine his surprise when he opened the door and saw Midoriya shaking and staring at his hands with blood splattered everywhere . He dropped his book bag and the sound alerted Midoriya. His head shot up and he looked at Bakugou in horror. "Deku… What did you do?" He couldn't keep the fear out of his voice and Midoriya flinched violently at the tone. He scrambled to apologize and beg Bakugou for his forgiveness.
Please forgive me!" He was trembling, ugly sobs tore from his throat as he tried to speak.
"You… You w-won't eat me, right?" Bakugou managed to whisper out.
Midoriya shook his head violently. "Never!! I'll never- never ever hurt K-Kacchan! Please, please believe me!!" Tears continued to fall from his eyes as Bakugou approached him slowly. He was absolutely terrified but something told him to trust Midoriya.
Before he could fully approach a black, writing mass fully encased Midoriya. The shape was still somewhat child-like. "We are Venom, child. We mean no harm to you."
"Did...Did you eat my mom a-and dad?" Bakugou shook as he asked. The thing was terrifying and the sickening smell of iron was making him dizzy.
"Yes."
"Why?"
"It was them or the child." Venom responded, making no move to approach Bakugou.
"Were you hungry?"
"Starving."
"Are you Deku's quirk?" He asked, slightly calmer than before.
"What the hell is a quirk?"
Bakugou snorted despite the situation. "It's a power, like this." He held his hand out and showcased the tiny pops coming from his palm.
"I am not a quirk, bomb child."
"So you're a parasite?"
Venom bristles. "NO! You are too small and weak to even know what a parasite is."
Bakugou laughs, but cautiously brings the conversation back. "Is Deku going to be okay?"
"The green child? He's fine, here." Venom melted back into Midoriya's body and he watched in awe. Seconds later, Midoriya stood, staring at his hands. The blood was gone.
"K-Kacchan?" He looked up hesitantly and when Bakugou walked closer to him, he flinched. Bakugou paused to rethink his actions. He held his hand out for Midoriya to take. Midoriya watched him closely but put his hand in his. Bakugou smiled.
"It's okay, Deku. I believe you."
-
Dabi turned around to face the man who was currently on fire. "Well, if it isn't the Number 2 hero." He hissed, stressing the number. Endeavor glared.
"I've tracked you down, villain. Now you can either come with me willingly, or get burned even worse." The walking trash can spat.
"I'd slit my own fucking throat before I ever willingly go anywhere with you." Dabi glared with just as much rage.
Endeavor scoffed and Dabi took note of the rising temperature. He crouched down slightly to put himself In a fighting stance only for the heat to disappear all at once. He straightened up and looked around, quickly spotting Eraserhead on a nearby rooftop. Endeavor on the other hand, was not nearly as calm about the situation.
"What did you do to my quirk?!" He barked, stomping towards Dabi, who just raised an eyebrow and sent a scorching blast of fire at the pro hero's legs. Unfortunately the material was mostly fireproof, but that didn't mean Endeavor didn't feel the pain of his skin starting to burn a little.
All it did was send him into more of a rage, he launched himself at the ex-criminal and punched the shit out of him. Dabi stumbled back, a manic grin breaking out on his face. Eraserhead cut Dabi's quirk the moment he realized what was about to happen. When Dabi noticed the loss of his quirk, he didn't falter, that crazed grin stayed in place as he brought out his phone to make a call. Endeavor held a fighting stance, trying to scope out whatever plan the villain may or may not have.
"I need V, quickly." He didn't wait for an answer, instead he hung up and repeatedly tested his quirk for the moment Eraser would finally blink. He felt a familiar burn course through his body and immediately stuck his palm out, a blast going towards Endeavor within milliseconds. The hero had the same idea and their blasts collided.
"I'll kill you!" The man screamed at him.
"Doesn't seem very heroic ." He shot back.
Both fires cut out and he knew Eraser's quirk was in effect again. Luckily, someone figured out the severity of the situation. Because the sound of concrete cracking could be heard behind him. "Venom, meet Endeavor."
Venom stood next to Dabi and smiled a smile that held all teeth, one that was clearly a threat. Endeavor recognized the name and laughed. "You think some puny vigilante could beat me?! That thing attacks villains like you!"
"He will not let me kill him but," Venom paused to lick their lips. "I'm still hungry." They were quick to pounce on Endeavor, with the man putting up a fight. He threw punch after punch, each hit the landed only served to further distract Endeavor from realizing when his quirk was back in effect. Endeavor gained a cocky look on his face upon noticing an opening in Venom's defense. A clear shot to the face would surely knock the monster out, right?
A shout of pain proved otherwise. Endeavor stumbled backwards and away from Venom, blood pouring from his elbow. Dabi and Venom held matching grins, the only difference was the arm hanging from V's mouth. They swallowed the severed arm whole. "Did you seriously think that I would not hesitate to bite?"
Endeavor stared with wide eyes that barely contained his rage and pain. Dabi strolled over to him, his eyes glowing the same toxic blue as his flames. "Don't worry, Todoroki Enji, you'll live." He pressed his burning hot hand to the wound causing Endeavor to yell out. The man tried to fight off Dabi for longer but eventually succumbed to the pain and passed out.
Venom left first, noticing Eraserhead coming down from his place on the rooftop. They jumped over rooftops and weaved through buildings, making sure the black haired hero couldn't follow them properly.
Dabi was left to get scolded by said hero. "What the hell were you thinking? You could've easily retreated. How do you think your brothers would've reacted to you not making it home!" He growled out and Dabi had the nerve to look off to the side like he was ashamed.
"One of them would've known." He grumbled under his breath, almost too low for Eraserhead to hear it. Key word: almost.
"What do you mean?" Eraser narrowed his eyes at him.
"Oh, you'll find out eventually" He said, avoiding giving him a proper answer. "But I couldn't just run away knowing what he did to me and my siblings, Aizawa. He approached me and started a fight, I didn't do anything illegal. I'm justified in self defense."
Eraserhead stared at him for a while, studying him. Dabi shifted uncomfortably. He felt like he was being studied under a microscope. "You were dealing." He stated plainly.
"Didn't accept payment, technically I wasn't. And it was the last time, I swear. The others hate it when I deal, there's literally a plan that involves me losing a fucking arm if they find out." He shuddered at the mere thought.
"How would a couple of children even go about doing that?"
"Let's just say 'Zuku has a very close connection with Venom."
"What-" Dabi cut him off by mentioning the fallen hero with a cauterized wound.
"Aren't you gonna help him, Eraser?"
Eraserhead looked at the unconscious hero and clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Legally have to. Go home and stay there." He allowed Dabi to walk in the direction of the now shared home before dialing 911 and alerting them of the situation and addressing the problem at hand. "God I'm going to have a massive headache." He picked up the mountain of a man and slung his arm over his shoulder, holding him up as he carried the man towards the direction of the flashing lights and sirens.
-
"V snitched." Was the first thing Dabi heard when he walked through the door. Luckily, Hizashi was in the kitchen and out of earshot. Shouto stared at him unblinking. "They said you met… him ."
"I did." Dabi sighed dramatically, as if that meeting hadn't filled him with enough rage to snap. "Did V or 'Zuku tell you what they did to the old bastard?"
"No… What happened?" He asked curiously.
"They bit off his arm." He grinned. Shouto's eyes widened.
"Is he dead?"
"Nah, I burned the wound. He passed out but he'll live… probably." Dabi shrugged and watched as Shouto processed his words.
"Did you have a plan?" he asked, tilting his head.
"V proved that they're strong enough to permanently maim or even kill one of the "strongest" pro hero's in Japan. The only reason they didn't attack with the intent to kill him was 'cause 'Zuku didn't want to." Dabi kept his voice low. Sure, Hizashi was deaf, but he really didn't want to take risks with his hearing aids.
Shouto looked thoughtful and opened his mouth to speak only to shut it tightly. Dabi raised an eyebrow and looked over his shoulder, noting Hizashi poking his head into the room. "Foods ready!"
Dabi nodded and held out his hand for Shouto to take. Without a sliver of hesitation, Shouto held his hand and followed him to the kitchen table, where Midoriya and Bakugou were already seated. Shouto glanced under the table and smiled a little when he noticed the small black tendril poking out the side of Midoriya's leg, and taking the food that both their host and Bakugou were giving them.
Chapter Text
It had been about a year since they moved in with him and Hizashi. Neither of them understood how fast Izuku seemed to go through food. It was usually pretty manageable, the kid just had a higher metabolism, right? Well sure, but that didn't explain how antsy Izuku got when he couldn't go outside for too long.
The first time it happened was a month after their kids moved in. Crime had started picking up in their area so Hizashi put out an outside ban for about a week.
Hizashi stood in front of the group. Dabi was teasing Shouto about the cat perched carefully on his shoulder while Izuku and Katsuki argued over which All Might era was superior. He cleared his throat and waited patiently for them to settle down. "Okay, I really don't want to do this, but it's getting pretty bad around here, it's our responsibility to keep you all safe, so I have to keep you all inside until Shou can get this all sorted out."
There was silence as Aizawa watched their reactions. He didn't miss the glances towards Izuku. "You sure? I mean, I can supervise if any of them want to go out. I am an adult." Dabi offered but Hizashi shook his head.
"I don't want to put you in a situation where you'd have to hurt yourself to protect them. It's really for your own good." He frowned. Aizawa watched Izuku for any sign of disagreement, after all, he was the one that went outside the most. His body was stiff and his fingers twitched slightly.
"Izuku, are you okay?" He called out. The boy flinched but offered him a smile and a thumbs up.
He raised an eyebrow but took it at face value. Without there being any complaints, Hizashi let them get back to what they were doing and they reluctantly did so.
They went about dinner as normal, with Izuku getting a significantly larger portion of food. They went to bed that night without a care in the world.
The next three days went on without any change from three of them, Midoriya seemed to be more and more on edge with each passing day. The fourth day, Aizawa was jolted awake by loud crashing in the kitchen. He bolted out of bed with his capture weapon at the ready only to discover Dabi cleaning up what looked like a fridge raid. He noticed the sheer amount of torn open packages of meat and when he went to question it, Dabi only shrugged. "It was like this when I got here." He had a knowing glint in his eyes but Aizawa decided he was too tired for this shit and went back to sleep.
That night, Izuku was practically vibrating in his seat, resisting the urge to do who knows what. Aizawa and Hizashi shared a look before Aizawa sighed. "Dabi, you can supervise Izuku out." Dabi nodded and laughed when Izuku was quick to race to the door. They left quickly and Aizawa didn't see them again until midnight. Dabi carried a suspiciously large bag inside with Izuku bouncing back in like he had the best night of his life.
They opted to let Midoriya out more frequently the second time it happened.
-
An explosion and a yell knocked him out of his thoughts. He got up quickly rushing out the back door and towards the sound, only to sigh deeply when he was greeted with an enthusiastic smile from Izuku and a grinning Katsuki. The back of Izuku's shirt had a massive hole in it, but the skin under it seemed completely unharmed.
"Hi Dad!" Izuku waved. That was a new development. Izuku was the only one to genuinely refer to him and Hizashi as his parents. Dabi did it sarcastically, Shouto still seemed to be against the idea of dads, and Katsuki told him he was "too cool" to call them that.
"Izuku, what happened?"
"Well, Me and Kacchan were playing tag and he kept getting pissy cause I was winning, so when he finally caught up to me, he shot off a huge explosion! It kind of hurt." The boy explained, pulling off the ruined shirt.
"Are you hurt anywhere?" Aizawa asked, approaching the child and checking him over. Nothing physical.
"Nope! I got-" He cut himself off when he heard a warning 'pop' from Katsuki.
"Izuku." He made direct eye contact with the green haired child. "What happened?"
"I-I, uh, have a self healing quirk!" He shifted in place slightly and gave Aizawa a wobbly smile.
"A self healing quirk?" Aizawa asked and Izuku noded.
"Yeah! Uhm, everytime I get injured, I automatically heal myself! The only drawback I've found so far is that I'm a lot hungrier than a normal person." He spoke quickly. "I got it when we lived at the warehouse."
Aizawa raised an eyebrow at the story, but it checked out to him. "Okay, we'll get your quirk registered tomorrow morning, is that okay?"
Izuku nodded with a smile. "Yep!"
The man stole a quick glance at Katsuki, who stared at Izuku in what seemed like shock. When Katsuki noticed him looking, he forced the reaction down and looked away. Aizawa elected to ignore that and reminded them to take showers whenever they decided to come back in. He walked inside, missing whatever Katsuki started saying to Izuku.
