G'day, mates!
It seems hard to believe for me, but we're at the end of the story. This is honestly something I didn't think would happen.
Fun fact: I actually started this story ten years ago. Way back in 2015. I actually started posting this story over on FFN. Life got in the way and there was a time when I actually walked away from fanfiction for a while. But then I came back to it in 2022. I started posting again.
When I started posting again, I decided that I wanted AO3 to become my main site rather than FFN. So, I started going through my FFN profile deciding what stories I wanted to bring over here. And this story made the list.
I always held affection for Loonatics Unleashed. It was the first fandom I really got into. At least when I started learning about and understanding what fandom was. It was the fandom that introduced me to fanfiction. Ace and Lexi were my first OTP - and this was at a time when I didn't even know anything about shipping or one true pairings or anything like that.
So, in March 2023, I started making some tweaks to what I had posted on FFN and posting it here. And now, over two years later, I am finishing what has certainly been a labour of love. I have loved bringing Brylee to life and I hope I have shown people that anyone can be a million things. Anyone can do anything they put their mind to. That being a diabetic doesn't stop you from being amazing.
There are so many people I want to thank, but the people I want to thank above all is a community. A Reddit community. The FanfictionExchange subreddit, to be specific. You guys were there to welcome me with open arms when I stepped back into the world of fanfiction, and you have supported every endeavour I have made. I have found lifelong friends in this community, and I look forward to seeing all your reviews not just on this fic, but on all my fics.
Speaking of fics... if you follow me on Tumblr, you know that I always meant for this to be a series. Well, I'm here to announce that I will be doing a sequel to this fic.
The story will be called A Million and One Things, and it will follow Brylee through season two of the show and how things have changed for her. And will continue to change. I actually dropped some hints in the last chapter.
But it will be a while before I start writing and posting that sequel. Probably not until January. I want to give my other fics some love first - and finish my Year of the OTP series - before I start another long-fic.
Above all, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. And I will see you guys on the flip side.
In the meantime, in the immortal words of Ace Bunny, let's jet!
