Mikey was born into a poor family, lived with his father and three older brothers. He and his brothers were forced to get jobs as chimney sweepers in order to keep a roof over their heads. Mikey’s father did everything he could to help them, but with long, grueling hours… it was only a matter of time before he breaks.
One day, Mikey was cleaning a neighbor’s chimney when they burnt their hand on some hot water. Starving and smelling the burnt skin, he couldn’t hold back as he ended up committing cannibalism and ate his neighbor’s organs. When his family found him when he failed to return after dark, he was detained and then hanged for his crimes.
Note: Aging for demons who’ve died under twenty-one, will still age normally until hitting that number. Afterwards their aging rate decreases significantly, explaining why despite being a Sinner that’s been in Hell since the 1800s, Mikey still looks as youthful as he does.
Progress: Has managed to rain in his sanity, has managed to find a substitute for flesh in the form of beef jerky. Wants to find his father and brothers so he can apologize to them. Is in a loving relationship with another client named Joon, currently planning on a wedding together.
Demon form: A cannibal sinner. Cursed to have a high metabolism with a strong craving for anything revolving around meat.

As the new day arrived in Pentagram City, Mikey and Joon were tangled in each other’s embrace as they slept peacefully. The cannibal was resting his head on Joon’s chest as the lull heartbeat kept him calm enough to sleep, while his body provided warmth for the cartoon sinner in return. When the sun started to rise and shine through the windows, they groaned tiredly as they opened their eyes to meet each other. They smiled as they remembered falling asleep while cuddling last night.
“Morning Joon-Joon…” Mikey said.
“Good morning Mikey.”
Joon moves his fingers to comb through the messy bed hair of his fiance, hearing a moan of satisfaction as he continues to play with his hair. Mikey then moved his hands to cup Joon’s cheeks and form a smile, moving his thumbs.
“You have the prettiest smile in all of Hell.”
“And you have the prettiest hair in all of Hell.” Joon replied, seeing Mikey’s face go red and burying his face in his chest.
They eventually got up and showered together to greet the new day. They walked downstairs while holding hands, entering the dining room and greeted those that were already there.
“Good morning!” Mikey said to everyone.
“Morning guys, look at you two holding hands.” Hayden commented, seeing them take their seats.
“Well it’s expected since they’re getting married soon. So I’m guessing it’s another day of planning?” Beryl asked.
“Yup! We’re going into the city to do some shopping and ordering!” Joon replied happily.
“Well I hope you don’t plan on telling WHAT you’re ordering is for.” Vox said while coming in with two trays that contained plates of sausages and eggs. “You both know very well what’ll happen if word got out about this secret wedding, do you?”
That got Mikey and Joon to pout and hang their heads, nodding in response.
“Yes Mr.Vox, we’re aware.”
“Oh do lighten up Vox, I’m sure they’ll be fine on their own.” Alastor chimed in, also holding two trays of the same plate of food.
It was hard to keep quiet about their wedding when out sometimes, knowing the consequences if they do. Marriage in Hell was outlawed after all and they agreed to elope at the Hazbin Hotel with everyone that lives there being the ones to witness it. While they were a bit sad for not being able to have the wedding they want, they’ll at least try to make do with what they can get, and that includes their errands for the ceremony.
With the plates in front of them, Mikey brings out a packet of beef jerky and crushed them in his hands to sprinkle on top of the sausage and eggs. While some tried to hide their disgust or turn away from the sight to prevent themselves from throwing up, Joon watched happily as his boyfriend began eating his breakfast and followed suit.

Mikey and Joon walked into the city hand in hand, humming a tune together as some demons stopped and watched them go. They were on their way to the shopping center to order some things they’ve been eyeballing to use for their wedding, Joon pulling out his phone to see what they need to get while in town.
“Hey Mikey, remember that flower shop we helped board up before the heatwave? How about we go there for our flowers first?”
“Okay! I love the ones I saw before! I hope they still have them.”
Ring, ring~
The bell next to the door rang as the two entered the floral shop, a sinner that looked like a venus fly trap plant moved her long neck around to see who came in her shop.
“Welcome customers, look around and see if there’s anything you like.”
“Actually, we were wondering if we could look at your collection for an event we’re planning.”
“Oh? What kind of event specifically?”
Already Mikey and Joon could feel the beads of nervous sweat trickling down their foreheads, trying to come up with something that wasn’t a wedding. Mikey looked around nervously while Joon dripped with ink and staining the floor. The plant sinner looked at them expectantly, waiting patiently for an answer as Joon spoke up.
“Oh… Just a big get together is all. You got any pretty flowers?”
“Well we do have this set of Spider Lilies that were delivered from a demon that came from Japan, they're right by the window over there.”
The two turned their heads to see the bouquet as Mikey gasped happily. The flowers were a ruby red color, shining in the light of the window as they stood strong and proud. The cannibal was walking around the stand, fully allured with the spider lilies as Joon knew they found the flowers they were looking for.
“We’ll take those. Though we’ll have to pick them up on a later date.” Joon said to the store clerk.
“Very well, an excellent purchase! I’ll be keeping them fresh and tidy when you come back for them.”
“Thanks! Let’s go Joon-Joon!”
They waved bye as they left the floral shop, walking down the streets to one of Beelzebub’s Emporium. The inside reminded them of a candy wonderland, there were demons and sinners binge eating the many sweets and food out on display like they haven’t eaten in days. Despite how delicious looking some of the grub here was, they knew better than to eat it for themselves as the food here was laced with the Sin of Gluttony’s magic. Beelzebub’s food never makes you feel full, so you’re always going for seconds no matter what.
Thankfully they were able to avoid eating the food as they made it to the bakery section of the emporium as the receptionist, a female horse with poofy hair and kitchen appliances sticking out of it, noticed them and put her piping bag down.
“Hello there! Are you here to buy one of our many delicious confections and cakes for sale? Or are you here to request a future date?”
“Yeah, we’re here to preorder a multilayer cake for the end of the month.” Joon explained.
“Okay, may I ask for what event?”
The anxious feeling returned to the couple, looking at each other as Mikey was the one to say something this time.
“It’s for… a birthday party. Yeah! And a LOT of people are gonna be there, so this cake needs to be like 10 layers.”
The receptionist narrowed her eyes, pursing her lips as she thought they were hiding something. After a moment of intense staring, the horse sinner’s friendly demeanor returned as she beamed.
“Okie-doki-lokie! We’ll have your cake ready by then, we just need you to fill in this forum of what you want your cake to be.”
Joon accepted the clipboard as he and Mikey started filling out what they wanted. As Joon wrote on the clipboard, Mikey noticed a stand where all kinds of meat was being displayed for sinners to eat. He saw packets of beef jerky and his mouth waters up. Looking between Joon and the stand, the cannibal figured it wouldn’t hurt to look as he got up and walked over to the section with beef jerky.
And his mouth became a waterfall.
On display was a wide variety of flavors for beef jerky. From barbeque, to teriyaki, sweet and spicy. Mikey couldn’t refuse. By the time Joon finished and returned the clipboard, he looked around for his fiance who mysteriously disappeared until he found him coming back up to him with his arms full of packets. He was trying to carry as much as he could and even holding a few in his mouth that prevented him from talking. The cartoon sinner grabbed the bags in his mouth so he could talk.
“I couldn’t help myself. And they were free samples!”
Joon chuckled at the silliness of his fiance, getting a bag to put them in as they walked out of the emporium while snacking on the beef jerky.

Their next stop was an arts and craft shop as the bell rang to the door opening. They headed towards the ribbon section as they looked at the wide array of selections of ribbons they wanna use for their wedding. On the wall were many kinds of patterns and colors to choose from, from polka dots, to frills, to flat and vibrant colors. They all looked very pretty as they felt kind of lost on what to go for while the store clerk, an imp with ribbons in her hair and horns, came up to them.
“Why hello there. Are you in need of some assistance?”
“Yeah actually! We need the prettiest ribbons you have for a party we’re throwing. Maybe something with lace or more than one color or-”
As Mikey rambled on with what kind of ribbons they wanted, Joon got closer to the ribbons on display to feel the texture of them. He figured if they find the right texture, they’ll be one step closer to finding the ones they want to get. However, as he was feeling a green one, he accidentally unrolled some of it. Panicked, Joon tried to roll it back up but ended up unrolling more. As he tried to roll them back, his limbs got caught onto some of them as he flailed and fell to the floor with a thud. Mikey and the store clerk turned their heads to see what the commotion was until they saw Joon wrapped in the ribbons like a birthday present on the ground.
“Little… help?” Joon managed to say
“... We’ll take the white and frilly ones.” Mikey said to the clerk.
After untangling Joon and making their purchase. Now they were on their way to their favorite stop as they entered Melanie’s new boutique she won in the fashion competition. It was styled to a more fashion store of the early two-thousands, mannequins on display showing off the many designs Melanie made for sale, and a bunch of demons checking out her Timeless Collection and deciding on purchasing some of it for themselves.
Speaking of Melanie, the two see her helping an imp put on accessories to match the outfit they were trying on.
“Some gold bracelets would really help the yellow pop out more, and maybe some accessories for your horns will look really good too!” She offered, seeing them nod in agreement as she spotted Mikey and Joon.
She smiled and walked up to them.
“Hey guys! I’m sorry for not coming by the hotel as often with this new boutique and Heaven in the way.” Melanie said.
“It’s okay Mel, we have a bit of a busy day today too.”
“We’re just here to see how our suits for our “Date day” are coming along.” Mikey said, trying not to sound suspicious with the demons around them.
“Oh those? They’re coming along nicely. And with the way progress is being made, they should be finished by the time the day of your wedding arrives. Wanna come see what I came up with so far?”
“Sure!”
Melanie led them to her workshop that was restricted to only her and whoever she allowed inside. There were many works in progress still being made and sketches hung on the wall for future projects. Alongside it were bolts of fabric and patterns for Melanie to use, her work desk littered with more sketches and tools such as needles and thread. They walked up to two mannequins that were already dressed in new suits, the ones Mikey and Joon asked for their wedding.
One was a standard black wedding suit with a red tie and a pink flower pinned to the left breast side, while the other was a blue and white suit with a flowing tailcoat. A black flower of the same kind pinned to the right, a blue bowtie, and sitting on the mannequin’s head was a wedding veil custom made to look like a human rib. Melanie stood next to the mannequins, proud of her work as she saw her friends look at the suits in awe and fascination. They traced their fingers across their respective suits and took in the details as they looked up at the coyote angel.
“... These are perfect.” Mikey started.
“We knew we could trust you to get our suits ready for our wedding.” Joon added.
Melanie gives them a bright smile.
“Just doing my job. I’ll make sure to have the rest of it done before the wedding date.”
“Thank you again for this.”
They leave the boutique in high spirits, Mikey leading the way as Joon noticed they were heading in the opposite direction to the hotel since they got their errands done for the day. The cannibal was holding onto Joon’s hand in one while snacking on some beef jerky in the other, as if oblivious to where they were going.
“Hey Mikey? Why’re we heading down here? The Hazbin Hotel’s this way.” Joon said, pointing behind him.
“We have one more stop to make! And then we’ll go home! If we’re going to be married, you’ll need to get along with my family!”
Joon’s eyes widened at the mention of family, having never heard Mikey say anything about his family that wasn’t his father or brothers. He figured he would take this chance to meet the rest of Mikey’s family and establish a good relationship with them to show that he was a good partner for his fiance as he picked up the pace. Walking to where they were next to each other as they held hands and down the street.
~~~
The pair had arrived at Cannibal town after a few more minutes of walking. Many of the cannibals were out doing their business as usual, such as running shops and eating corpses of whoever died. At first Joon was worried about the place getting to Mikey and bringing back his cannibalistic nature until Mikey took a deep breath and yelled.
“I’m back everybody!”
All the cannibals in town turned to the source of the yelling and saw Mikey and Joon together, holding hands as Joon had a black blush on his face as they smiled wide and came running to them like a stampede. They all lifted Mikey off the ground, catching him in a big hug as they all talked one after another.
“Mikey!”
“How’s our young man doing these days?”
“Did you happen to get taller the last time we saw ya?”
“Oh look at those teeth! Still looking strong!”
Mikey laughed at the attention he was getting, happy to be here with people who care about him before joining the hotel.
“I’m doing fine everyone, thank you for asking. I came here because I have someone I want you all to meet and announce something important. Everyone, this is my boyfriend and fiance Joon-Joon! Joon-Joon, this is my village of family!”
Joon noticed how all eyes were on him now as they circled around him to get a good look of Mikey’s boyfriend. They poked and sniffed at him, getting a whiff of a library smell that wasn’t good for eating. The cartoon sinner was starting to grow uncomfortable by the attention he was getting, unsure of what to even say that wouldn’t end with them eating him. Eventually one of them decided to ask a question as they appeared next to him.
“So you’re Mikey’s special someone huh? How’d you two meet?”
“Oh uhh, we met at the Hazbin Hotel. We’re both there to get redeemed and go to Heaven.” Joon replied.
“The Hazbin Hotel?”
“Isn’t that the place where Rosie’s kid works? Alastor was it?”
“How is it like there?”
Mikey stepped in and hooked his arms around Joon’s right.
“Oh it’s great there! Lots of friendly faces, fun lessons to learn! And I can eat all the beef jerky I want!”
The cannibals looked at him in confusion.
“Beef… jerky? What’s that?” A woman in a pink dress questioned.
“Only one of the best things to eat that isn’t flesh. I brought a whole bag from Bee’s Emporium, dig up everyone!”
Mikey grabs the bag of beef jerky he was carrying and throws the bag upward, causing the packets to fly out and land in their hands. They looked at the packets with interest, like scientists making a new discovery as they opened the packet and gave the meat a try. Tasting the beef jerky was like seeing colors for the first time for them, digging into it as Mikey did the first time as some of the kids ran up to him asking for more. As Joon watched with a cartoon smile, one of the more burly looking cannibals came up to him.
“So, Joon right? I heard Mikey mention that you were also his fiance. Tell me… how did you propose?”
Joon’s face lit up like a lightbulb when the question was asked, not expecting it one bit as he stammered on his words.
“Oh! Well-! Umm… It’s not that exciting of a story…” But upon seeing his fiance’s face and how happy he was to share his beef jerky, he calmed down to give a clear answer.
“... It was a dinner date on the hotel roof. Mikey was of course excited since we could see the sky and explain what shape a cloud was, such as one looking like a puppy or cotton candy or even a severed arm. As he was pointing out more clouds, I prepared the ring I got and asked Mikey this…”
~ “Hey Mikey, we’ve been together for a while now, yes?”
“Almost eight to nine months. Why do you ask?”
“Well… I know it hasn’t been that long and we’ve only started to think more clearly. But you’re unlike anyone I’ve been with. You bring out a side of me that I didn’t know existed, and would’ve stayed hidden if I didn’t come here and meet you. I know even if my ex-girlfriend doesn’t forgive me, that doesn’t mean I can’t find love with someone else… and that someone was you.”
“That’s sweet Joon-Joon.”
“But I’m saying all this because I have a very important question to ask… Michael Wood…”
“Will you marry me and make me the happiest sinner in Hell?” ~
“And then he said yes.” Joon finished.
“So you’re really serious about marrying him, despite the fact that marriage is outlawed in Hell?”
“We don’t care about that, we want to have a wedding to solidify our relationship and that’s what we’re going to do.”
One of the female cannibals swooned at what Joon said, falling into her husband’s arms.
“Oh what love! Fighting against the system to be together!”
“Well that at least shows that Mikey picked a good one to be with.”
“And you don’t have to worry, your secret is safe with us in this town.”
Joon and Mikey gasped when they saw Rosie coming out of her house, having heard the whole commotion outside and wanting to join in. The two were happy to get the blessing from the Overlord in charge of keeping the cannibals in order, as she snapped her fingers.
“I got it! Joon, why don’t you lead today’s performance?”
“Yeah! I’ve heard you sing before and you’re great!” Mikey said happily.
“I second that!” A cannibal in the crowd yelled.
They started chanting for Joon to sing, seeing how outnumbered the votes were he sighed and smiled sheepishly. He rubbed the back of his neck.
“Okay, I’ll sing one song I remember hearing and loving a lot when I was alive. And it reminds me of home in Hawaii.”
I do Like to be Beside the Seaside
Grabbing a cane and top-hat, he instructed the band to start playing as he started to groove with the tune.
Joon:
Everyone delights to spend their summer's holiday
down beside the side of the silvery sea.
I'm no exception to the rule, in fact, if I'd my way,
I'd reside by the side of the silvery sea.
But when you're just the common garden Smith or Jones or Brown,
At business up in town, you've got to settle down.
You save up all the money you can till summer comes around
Then away you go to a spot you know where the cockleshells are found
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!
I do like to be beside the sea!
I do like to stroll along the Prom, Prom, Prom!
Where the brass bands play, "Tiddely-om-pom-pom!"
So just let me be beside the seaside!
I'll be beside myself with glee
and there's lots of girls beside,
I should like to be beside, beside the seaside,
beside the sea!
The rest of the cannibals started to join in on dancing along with Joon, forming a bit of a parade in the process.
Timothy went to Blackpool for the day last Eastertide
To see what he could see by the side of the sea.
As soon as he reached the station there the first thing he espied
Was the wine lodge door stood open invitingly
To quench his thirst, he toddled inside and called out for a wine
Which grew to eight or nine, till his nose began to shine.
Said he “What people see in the sea, I'm sure I fail to see”
So he caught the train back home again then to his wife said he
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!
I do like to be beside the sea!
I do like to stroll along the Prom, Prom, Prom!
Where the brass bands play, "Tiddely-om-pom-pom!"
So just let me be beside the seaside!
I'll be beside myself with glee
and there's lots of girls beside,
I should like to be beside, beside the seaside,
beside the sea!
Joon stretched out his arms to where they grew rubbery; he grabbed Mikey and brought him to the roof of one of the houses, leading him to a walk one roof to another while dancing.
William Sykes the burglar he'd been out to work one night
filled his bags with jewels, cash and plate. (Hehehehehehe)
Constable Brown felt quite surprised when William hove in sight. (Oi you!)
Said he, "The hours you're keeping are far too late."
So he grabbed him by the collar and lodged him safe and sound in jail.
Next morning looking pale, Bill told a tearful tale.
The judge said, "For a couple of months I'm sending you away!"
Said Bill, "How kind! Well if you don't mind, Where I spend my holiday!"
Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside!
I do like to be beside the sea!
I do like to stroll along the Prom, Prom, Prom!
Where the brass bands play, "Tiddely-om-pom-pom!"
So just let me be beside the seaside!
I'll be beside myself with glee
and there's lots of girls beside,
I should like to be beside, beside the seaside,
beside the sea!
The couple jumped from the last roof, landing in the strong arms of the cannibals as they all cheered and laughed.
Lilith hummed to herself as she did paperwork for the day. She was especially happy since her birthday will be coming in a few weeks in the month, remembering all the times Lucifer would throw her an extravagant party for her. At first she resented her birthday and always saw it as a reminder of where she came from and what she was created for… but her husband was able to help her see it in a more positive light as something to celebrate, to celebrate her being alive and being able to create this life.
Her thoughts were interrupted when Jagged came in, his hood moved back as he saluted in respect.
“Apologies for my intrusion while you’re in the middle of something, your highness. But I feel this is something you need to know.”
Lilith set aside the quill she was using and stood up from her throne.
“You may speak Jagged, what did you find?”
“I was patrolling the city like you requested, and I caught sight of this one couple going around town. I recognize them as some of the Sinners that stayed to fight against the Exorcist Angels in the latest extermination. I believe it was the cartoon and cannibal sinner?”
“Ah yes Michael and Ha-Joon. I’m sure they’re doing well I assume?”
Jagged darted his eyes down, not sure how he should tell her what he saw.
“Well… Your highness… I believe they’re planning a wedding behind everyone’s backs.”
Lilith’s eyes widened, though the Unholy Knight couldn’t tell if it was from shock, surprise, or something else. So he decided to elaborate.
“I saw them going around buying some rather suspicious things that would be expected of a wedding. Like flowers, a big cake, special custom suits, and it wasn’t until I heard one of them yell fiance in Cannibal Town that confirms they are planning a wedding.” He kneels down and takes out his sword. “And seeing as how marriage is outlawed, would you like me and some other knights to bring them here and face punishment?”
The queen held a hand up, shaking her head as grabbed Jagged's jawline and moved his head up to face her.
“There won’t be a need for any of that. I’ll go and face the issue myself, and when I get back, I’ll be making a change to that little law.”
Lilith walked all the way from her palace to the Hazbin Hotel, not caring about the stares and bows the citizens were giving her as she knocked on the door. Alastor was the one to answer as he saw it was the Queen and straightened up.
“L-Lilith! What a nice surprise seeing you here!”
“Oh I don’t plan on staying long, I only wish to talk to two of your clients staying here. Michael and Ha-Joon to be more specific.”
“Uhh, sure, I’ll bring them here in a jiffy.”
In under thirty seconds, Mikey and Joon were face to face with the Queen of Hell herself. They were unsure of what she would want from them specifically, wondering if she just wanted a chat or beef jerky. After a moment of tense awkward silence, Lilith broke it.
“Well aren’t you two an adorable couple, I’ve heard you two had a bit of a busy day today.”
“Yeah well, we just needed to go out and run some errands.” Joon replied, trying to not sound nervous.
“Really, in fact I’ve caught on that someone in Hell is secretly planning a marriage.”
The two froze in place like statues, trying not to look suspicious as Mikey almost choked on his beef jerky.
“Oh… did you?”
“One of my knights caught sight of them running unusual errands. And as queen it’s up to me to do something about it. I believe… It's time we abolish that law.”
They looked at her in confusion, not expecting her to say that at all since they feared they were caught.
“In the end, it is a silly law when you think about it. Who am I or any of the other Morningstars to say who can and can’t spend thousands on a ceremony? People should be allowed to unite however they wish, regardless of where they are. So if you know anyone that wants to get married, let them know about this.”
Joon and Mikey looked at each other, realizing what this meant for them as they smiled at Lilith and nodded.
“We will.”
“Good. And before I go, I have a present for you two. It's yours to keep, I just hope to receive an invitation for when you two eventually get together yourselves.” Lilith said with a wink, getting up and walking away.
Once she was out of sight, Joon immediately moved to open the present she left them as he pulled it out into view. In his hand was a copper chalice cup with flowers and patterns decorated on it, it reminded the cartoon sinner of his heritage with how it was arranged. Mikey stared at the pretty cup and spoke up.
“Oooh! That’s very pretty! Didn’t you say your mom had something like this when you were alive?”
“... Yeah. It’s a Korean wedding tradition. At the wedding we take a sip from this very cup, as a way of symbolizing our unity and sharing life’s joys and sorrows together. I’ve always wanted to do this with whoever I’m getting married to, but I could never find the right cup for it.”
“... Until now.”
Mikey grabbed Joon’s hand holding the cup, causing the cartoon sinner to smile at the gesture. They both brought their lips together for a kiss as they headed back inside, happy that they’ll be wed soon.
