   Summary

   He lost Dabi. He lost the only person he ever loved, and the only person who accepted all of him with no hesitation. He lost his mate.
   Hawks, the bird of prey, mate for life—they find one lover and stick with them to the end. Some birds, when they’ve lost a mate, may even take their own life. Keigo can't blame them. The pain is unbearable. It’s all-consuming and burns him from the inside.

   If dying of a broken heart is real, Keigo is sure that’s how he’ll go.

   He begged nonexistent gods, begged the universe, anyone, to bring Dabi back. He can live without his quirk, but not Dabi.
   “Please bring him back,“ he whispers while his hands frantically wipe away tears that may as well be everlasting.
   He sends a feather towards the bathroom to restock the tissues that are running out beside him on the bed. Only to realize there are no feathers to send away—because there are no wings to send them from.
