Summary
Was Tony counting on a terrorist attack in Vienna when he went to sign the Accords? Of course not.
Was that the reason he took his newly minted intern with him? Sure. The kid seemed interested in superheroes legislation. Tony was sure many kids his age were similarly interested.
Was he upset when he had to drag said intern with him after the attack? Very. A kid had no place in such dangerous situations.
Did he regret it? No. That kid definitely saved him a lot of problems.

Summary
Steve didn’t get it. They had been living in the Tower for nine months. And he just… didn’t get it.
Tony adored Bruce, hung off of him and talked fast as Bruce just laughed indulgently and chimed in once in a while. He joked around with Clint and made him crazy arrows that they tried out together in the range. When Clint said he usually made his own gear, Tony examined the stunt arrows with reverence. With Thor, Tony took time off work whenever he was on Earth to sit and talk with him for hours.
But with Steve and Natasha, he showered them with weapons and gifts and then avoided them. Like the plague. He avoided ever being alone with them or even sitting next to them.
(Steve tried to figure out why he and Tony aren't friends.)

Summary
Following Ultron Tony is alone rebuilding the Tower when Earths Mightiest Heroes Steve Rogers appears in his lab with a baby in his arms. His World has been destroyed by Thanos, Reed Richards got him and the baby out at the last minute so he and the baby could live and hopefully warn another world of the potential danger.
Tony invites EMH Steve to stay with his daughter, something that doesn't please MCU Steve, but he has other worries, as Tony is going through the Data Dumped files and comes across the Winter Soldier's hit of his parents. Cutting contact with the Avengers, Tony grows closer to EMH Steve and together they begin to build a team to face Thanos, and The Avengers when they come to an inevitable confrontation with Tony.
