All the fics in this sub-series are canon compliant. That is, they fit with frankencanon--a mix of mostly CQL | The Untamed and the Mo Dao Zu Shi novel, in translation.

Chronologically, these fics begin with the Mo Dao Zu Shi characters' childhoods, move through their youths, the Cloud Recesses Lectures and Sunshot Campaign arcs of canon, and roughly up to the Burial Mounds Settlement Period.

At that point, TEO-verse diverges from canon. Subsequent fics are in the main TEO-verse series, instead.

Notes:

Each of these fics can be read independently of each other. If you've watched or read one version of canon, you're all set.

I'm moving these prequel fics in their own series, despite overlaps, because the wall-of-tags of TEO-Verse was too tall even for me, and I'm closing in on 100 fics in this setting.

They are backstory prequels, enrichment rather than plot-essential, for my canon divergence AU, TEO-Verse. Accordingly, I'm marking this sub-series complete, although the AU as a whole is a WIP.

Fics that I consider not part of the TEO-verse canon, labeled ‘AU of AU’, might not get moved here.

I'll leave the first and the last fic of this series in the main series as well, for help navigating.
