"All this romance talk is making me wonder what it’s like.” Phainon sighs dramatically, shoulders slumping. “Unfortunately, there’s not a soul I’d be able to court, being a busy Chrysos Heir and all. Unless, of course…” He tips his head forward, a playful smirk on his face. “I courted you, Prince Mydei?”
A loud gasp in front of them followed by a series of even louder gasps behind them painfully reminds him that they are, in fact, very much in public. He doesn’t need to look around to know that everyone nearby has stopped to watch.
There’s no way Phainon actually forgot the world existed around them. He did this on purpose to mess with him, didn’t he? Mydei knows he’s utterly shameless, but this takes the cake.

Mydeimos took a deep breath when he heard a familiar voice calling out to him, doing a countdown to calm his exploding temper from bursting out because the Crown Prince of Aedes Elysiae was making his way towards him. He could tell that his temper was at its boiling point since—
“Prince Mydeimos~” a cheerful voice said teasingly and Mydeimos turned around from the path he originally took and made himself take a faster pace and led his person away from Phainon. “Wait for me!!!”
“Go away, Deliverer,” a grouchy Mydeimos said, “Also for the last time, I'm not a prince.” Mydeimos admonished the fallen royalty that made himself known to his side and attached himself to Mydeimos like a pest that he was.

The cup in his hands has Phainon’s name on it. Espresso, java chip, shaved ice and hazelnut syrup. Probably sickeningly sweet, but Mydei can (begrudgingly) admit it probably tastes good. He doesn’t drink coffee, so he isn’t very familiar with the beverage, but Castorice drinks cortados a lot, and Anaxa downs espresso shots like they’re water.
“Order for Phainon,” he calls a moment later, and watches that light blue head bound up to the counter.
“That’s me,” Phainon beams. “Thanks! The art is really pretty!”
Mydei watches him head off with a smile and a wave.-

“I want to savour this,” Phainon admits. Pale hair falls into his eyes, as he leans forward, speaking words against Mydei’s lips, a breath of longing. “Let me feel you. Take you.”
And Mydei cannot deny Phainon a thing. Not when those hands, honed for weaponry and war, come to curl around the heat of his length, and his palm strokes down, heady pressure and slight release.
Mydei wants to ache in the aftermath. Let Phainon carve a space for himself inside of him, against tender muscle and soft nerves wrung dry of pleasure.
- Before Mydei's departure, Phainon makes love to him. As warriors, love is best spoken through actions, for movement is what they know best.
