Summary
In the twilight of their careers, and desperate to extend them however possible, the Chipmunks and Chipettes reluctantly agree to a deal with NASA to man a mission to the planet Mars. What they hope for is an increase in popularity; a reason for people to cheer for them again. There is no way for any of them to predict the complications, lies, secrets, and threats that they will encounter before they can safely return home. In order to find themselves on the other side of this ordeal with their lives, they will need to tap into every ounce of brains, brawn, and hope that they can conjure.

"After what felt like ages, the short maze of tile-coated passages gave way to an open-layout room decorated with blue mosaic, over a dozen shower heads spread throughout each wall with their respective valve knobs and shower token slot machines underneath. There were exactly two wide square drains centerline on the floor, divided by either half of the rectangular space. The second she was fully inside, she gasped with delight. Alvin stood right smack in the middle of the large shower chamber, sporting his sleeveless training outfit, staring confidently in her direction. 'Alvin!' she giggled aloud, causing both chipmunks to briefly wince at the sudden outburst of volume that rang and echoed between the tile walls. 'What if I was someone else?'"
