    Summary

In a realm where the fabric of reality intertwined with the echoes of myth, a multi-fandom death match tournament was held in the Arena of Eternity. Here, heroes and legends from various tales came to clash in battles that would decide who would reign supreme. The rules were simple yet ruthless: one must kill the other. No escape, no mercy – only the victor would leave.
The sun hung low in the sky, casting an eerie golden hue over the colossal stone arena.Spectators from countless worlds gathered, their cheers and jeers reverberating through the air.Among them were warriors, gods, and monsters, all eager to witness the legendary clash of two titans: Beowulf, the Geatish hero known for his strength and valor, and Achilles, the Greek demigod famed for his prowess in battle and near invincibility.

    Summary

In the dimly lit arena, the air was thick with tension, the anticipation of bloodshed hanging like a storm cloud over the gathered crowd. The arena was a blend of various worlds, a place where heroes and monsters from different realms gathered for one purpose: a battle to the death.Today, the combatants were two iconic figures from literature—Ciacco, the gluttonous sinner from Dante's Inferno, and Grendel, the monstrous embodiment of rage and despair from Beowulf.

    “I have a plan.”

    “I’ll dress as a man.”
    “You’ll dress as a man.”
    “I’ll go to their land.”
    “You’ll go to their land.”
“Then I’ll swing a sword and do a Beowulf so that I don’t have to be married!”
Unferth sighed deeply. He placed his hands on his hips. His brow furrowed and he squeezed his eyes shut for a very long moment. He straightened his back and darted his darkened gaze. His mouth opened and closed again as his hand rose and fell back to his hip before he knew what to say that he could say to a princess.
“And what,” asked he through his teeth, “does doing a Beowulf entail?”

in which freawaru doesn’t want to be married, hrothmund supports his sister, and unferth is along for the ride.

For now, there was only the need to lose themself within the other, to cross themselves as wrist and ankle, limbs locking, entangling bones and blood vessels until their two hearts beat as one. That was the goal, wine-driven and out of control.

beowulf wants unferth to shut up.
    unferth wants a fight.
    they happily oblige each other.

    Summary

The boy leans on the streetlamp. As he turns to meet the bartender, his hood gets caught on a small hook on the lamp. The hood half slips down, still caught on the small hook, and the bartender meets the boy’s green eyes in surprise. Before the bartender can inspect the face underneath the cloak in scrutiny, the boy quickly pulls the cloak over his head concealing his features again.

“Well?” asks the boy, shifting to a position that the bartender cannot see his face.

“There’s a boat leaving for Denmark,” he points out to one of the cargo ships. He then sighs, “Are you sure about this?”

The boy nods in absolute confidence, “You don’t need to worry about me, sir.”

    Summary

Poem about the writer's (perhaps) long lost lover. Someone vividly real in sleep but dissolving into shadows upon waking. Questioning whether they are a lost love, a spectral visitor, or merely a creation of one's own longing. Despite the inability to remember the dream, the heart retains its fullness, leaving one caught between yearning and the fleeting comfort of these nocturnal encounters.

    Summary

The once great nation of Geat-Dwarves led to the peak of its power by the powerful Lord General Beowulf is crumbling before the wrath of the wyrmings - mindless beasts whose numbers seem to never dwindle. In the final desperate defense of the last fort left unconquered, the lieutenant to the hero describes in his diaries the destruction he has to face as his lord chooses the most desperate means of defeating the monsters.

A retelling of the Anglo-Saxon famous heroic poem, set in a roughly 17-18th century-like fantasy setting, featuring dwarves as Geats, men as Swedes and a... complicated lizard-men hive mind as the Dragon(s). Written in an early epistolary novel convention mixed with elements of Anglo-Saxon poetic language. Yes, it is weird.
