“It’s alright, ” Alan said. “I don’t think I have ever heard someone flirt using theory before. Quite a lot of academic explanation to get to a pick-up line.”
“Only one other person has ever caught on that quickly.” Ian nodded toward Ellie, who was leaning on her arm, still gazing at Alan. “People tend to focus on the weird math part.” Alan signaled for a top-up on his drink, and Ellie ordered a beer. Alan shrugged.
“You said that meeting me was built into the way the universe works.”
“And I do mean it when I say Complexity theory could lead us to believe that.” Ian looked satisfied. -

Based, extrapolated from and sprung poetically off of the Original Jurassic Park film with some influences from the original books (Jurassic Park and The Lost World).

Lukas stares, inspecting every inch of Ian's face, looking for any semblance of lies or regret, but he doesn't find any. Hesitantly, he speaks. "I'm an asshole. And-" with a sigh Lukas closes his eyes unable to look at Ian, "and I've never actually been in a real relationship before."
"I never would've guessed." Ian mocks lightly, knocking his shoulder against Lukas's. "That doesn't bother me, I've got enough experience between the two of us." Lukas raises a brow.
"Don't you have a kid Malcolm?"
