Everything was great up until Izuku turned 4. He lived a happy life with his mom and dad. He smiled and laughed without a care in the world. Every Saturday he would go play with his best friend Katsuki (or, to him, Kacchan), at the park while their moms chatted and laughed along with each other. He drew pictures that his mom would hang on the refrigerator and played heroes until he was so sleepy he couldn’t keep his eyes open anymore. He had always felt loved. He had always felt safe with his family. Why wouldn’t he, right?
The day after his mom- mother had taken him to the quirk specialist, and learned Izuku would most likely not develop a quirk of his own, his life had taken a drastic turn for the worst.

Saru Taimu is an underground hero called Snap Shot who uses her quirk, Time Lock, to defeat villains. She's quiet and to herself, not seeking notoriety. However, when her old tutor Principal Nezu contacts her about a position at UA, she's a bit confused if not intrigued by the extra income. She just wants to pay her bills and maybe finally be able to afford to get a cat. Underground heroes don't make much.
Nezu wants to hire a new co-teacher to balance out Aizawa's rough mentality and knows just the person. Actually, he's hiring several new teachers to try and expand the hero course, sensing with his own quirk some disastrous possibilities to come. After Aizawa expelled his whole class last year, this co-teacher will have a say in whether or not that's even an option with this new group. Aizawa sees it as a punishment. Nezu sees it as a way to level the grouchy teacher out.
