After fifteen years, Aziraphale's become a servant to his own family and Crowley's about to inherit his father's fortune. The only thing that stands in Crowley's way is his Uncle Lucian's tight hold on finances until Crowley marries or comes of age. And the marriage his uncle has in mind for him is out of the question.

    Thankfully, a chance encounter puts these former friends within range of one another again. And Aziraphale, who's never managed to fall out of love with his former best friend, can't refuse a proposal which offers so much promise. It might hurt, but it might just be glorious too.

In a moment of drunken weakness, he sends an email to Mr. Fell, offering to show him the rare book room at the university. Then, weeks later, when he's heard nothing back, in another moment of weakness, while being pestered about his love life, he invents a boyfriend - and describes Mr. Fell. It's a stupid lie, but a low-risk one. Mr. Fell clearly doesn't want to talk to him, right?

    “Ah, yes, quite.” Aziraphale says, then takes a sip of his drink just for something to do, instead of focussing on the way Crowley said just friends, and how it causes a painful throb in his chest that he has never fully got used to. His memory can only scrabble at the edge of a time where being just friends with Crowley didn’t feel like a particular form of torture.

    The ratings for fics can vary wildly with the sort of casual macabre elements of the film and the swearing and alcohol abuse present in the series/book, as well as contain some very explicit sexual content. Please mind the tags and feel free to skip fics if they don't seem up your alley or to contact one of us if you would like clarification.

    And yes most of the fics are tagged with "demisexual". We wrote both Aziraphale and Crowley that way. People/characters on the Ace spectrum can and do have loving and fulfilling sex lives and deserve to be represented.

As part of this, they find a way to view a series of very human stories in which couples find their way to love despite the problems and obstacles that life throws at them. On their way to a deeper understanding of just what close, loving relationships look like in humans, they find themselves becoming closer, and nearer to an acceptance of themselves and each other.

    Very soft stories with happy endings, written to fulfil my prompts for the Good Omens Bingo 2021 event.

    All of the fics have titles that come from songs that were released in 1967, a significant year for the Ineffable Husbands, partly because the music is fab, partly because it was the Summer of Love and that feels appropriate, partly because I am a nerd and I like a unifying theme (also, it helps with titles, and that’s useful - titles are difficult).
