The night promised to be more than pleasant, and wasn't that what they had been looking for? As much as they might philosophize about their inherent need to flee stemming from the deep dissatisfaction of the more human side of their mind, sometimes it was better to stop thinking, and reach a dimension that overwhelmed them less. Or at least one where they still didn't know all the secrets of their friends, nor did they know theirs. On such a heavy night, small, inconsequential talk was better, and maybe some pizza and a long hug.
Of course, that did not happened in the end. But maybe it is for the best? -

Leo was staring at him with an unreadable expression. He didn’t know what sort of emotion he was supposed to be portraying, but he stared as if Yuichi had been the one to hang the stars in the sky. Like he was something worth admiring. Something worth living for.

Everyone agrees that Leo seems to be doing better after the invasion, and that's great! But Yuichi can't seem to shake the feeling that something is wrong. That Leo is not as healed and happy as he appears to be.
