Summary
After the War of the Ring, Éomer, newly crowned King of Rohan, carries the scars of battle both upon his flesh and within his heart. Hardened by loss and years of warfare, he believes love to be a luxury for other men, softer men, not for a king who must rebuild a broken realm.
Far to the south, in the sea-bound haven of Dol Amroth, Lothíriel is sheltered and feels deeply, a trait often dismissed as weakness. When her father, Prince Imrahil, proposes a political marriage between her and Éomer to strengthen the bond between their kingdoms, she accepts, fearful but dutiful.
But Lothíriel finds the King of Rohan proud and distant, and she laments the thought of a lifetime in a loveless, lonely marriage.
Meanwhile, Éomer guards his heart like a fortress, unwilling to let affection breach its walls.
Will love be an elusive obscurity, or will they overcome their personal fears to discover a devotion beyond imagining?

Possibly even a quiet arrangement involving a marriage contract someone forgot to mention to the princess.Lothíriel of Dol Amroth arrives with ledgers, grain, and the deep, weary grace of a woman who ran an entire city during a war and still wasn’t allowed to sign things in ink. She expected the usual diplomatic friction. She did not expect mud-slinging (literal and otherwise), misplaced marriage rumors, or Éomer King glaring at her like a badly translated poem.
He expected a new trade agreement. Instead, he got a princess, armored in courtesy and extremely unimpressed.

She wasn’t really a merchant’s daughter, and he wasn’t really a scout. Little did they know fate was, in fact, at work that night, and it had brought together the future King and Queen of Rohan.
If their grandchildren ever asked how they met… Well, they’d need to come up with a better story, no doubt.
The MCD warning concerns Théodred as per the canon, not Éomer or Lothíriel.

Lydia wakes up in a strange bed, in an unfamiliar world, and everyone keeps insisting she's a princess. Confused and disoriented, she has no memory of how she got there and no idea what that place even is, until she is met with the hauntingly familiar face of Éomer of Rohan. Lydia grapples with being stuck in someone else’s life, bound by a future she didn't choose, all the while being forced to navigate a world that couldn’t be more different from her own.
Her growing attraction to the fiercely protective and keen-eyed Horse-lord, tasked to take her on the long journey to Edoras to marry his cousin, only makes things more complicated, of course.Rated E for detailed but tasteful smut chapters in the later portion of the story.
Graphic depictions of violence only concerns one very short dream sequence in chapter 24, and MCD is about Théodred as per the canon.

PREVIEW:
The only pleasant thing she recalled was walking along the shore, her feet bare and her skirt hoisted up. Her chaperones followed far enough behind that if she looked up and listened to the sound of birds, she could pretend she was alone.There were no beaches here, only endless grass, and woods from time to time. Lonely. Cold. Bleak, even in springtime. But in Dol Amroth, the sun was always high overhead, warm as a gentle pair of hands, and the sound of waves a rhythmic rustle against the shore. The sand was soft as down under her feet, and the water balmy as a lukewarm bath.
Sometimes, she was even allowed to swim, though the process of assembling guards and finding a secluded spot was an uncommon hassle.
She would not be going back there now. The bathtub was her only sea, the copper sides her only shores.

Éowyn and Faramir, both very much single and very much frustrated with both their families and their love life, meet on the 24th of December in a London bar. Instant attraction, meddling friends, mistletoes and a lot of bubbling feelings lead to a one night stand - which would be fine if Faramir hadn't forgotten the infamous Family Christmas Brunch over it and if gossip didn't travel that fast. Suddenly, they all want to meet 'that girl', while being just as chaotic and judgemental as always. It will be embarrassing, horror really, unless Éowyn decides to play along.
Éowyn for her part finds herself caught up in a whirlwind romantic cliché she neither wanted nor expected and this might even be not so bad - if she hadn't lied to Faramir about her true origin in the first place.- Holiday Fluff with a little bit of drama about slightly entitled people with very human problems, rated a spicy T -

Summary
The Princess of Dol Amroth disappears into shadows and speaks to trees. Soon enough she is given to the Rangers under her cousin's command in effort to keep her alive, until she develops better judgement.
Faramir sends her to the Riddermark seeking allies among the horselords, the journey meant to keep her out of trouble. She manages to leave a lot of blood there and ties herself to Rohan. A place she decidedly hates.
A purely indulgent story where Lothiriel is unhinged and everyone wonders how she is still alive. All the time.

"Lord Éomer?" the woman let out a cautious greeting as she walked closer, wrapping her robe tighter around herself, somehow sounding as puzzled about his presence as he was of hers.
"Yes. Evening, Lady Lothíriel," Éomer replied hastily, clearing his throat a little as he took a couple steps closer, guessing that the woman had to be Prince Imrahil's daughter, the youngest of the siblings. "Pardon me, my lady, but ...Why are you in my room? Has something happened?" he questioned in as polite a tone as he could manage amidst his confusion.
"Your room?" she repeated, blinking. "Actually, I was about to ask why you are in my room, my lord."

The existence of this fic is all thanks to TheMoonlily's tumblr post (that I came across months and months ago) about an éothíriel-idea that was something along the lines of "Éomer comes to Minas Tirith for Éowyn's wedding and is staying with the Amrothian's during his visit. Due to a payback-for-previous-prank from Amrothos, he ends up in Lothíriel's room." that just opened some inspirational floodgate in my brain and I couldn't resist writing this. i hope you have as much fun reading as I've had while writing this.
