Summary
Gorgug grows up knowing that his parents love him. He knows they'll love him no matter who he grows into, no matter who he loves, because they've told him so his whole life. Gorgug can't even remember a time when he thought two men kissing was strange.
This, somehow, doesn't make it easier to figure out anything about his sexuality.

Summary
Gorgug pictures his parents crying at his funeral. The metal flower they would bury him with. Their families, smug eyes and I told you so on their lips. Kristen, a cautionary tale of why those in Helio’s light shouldn't reach for those who aren't.
It's remembering Kristen that always makes him stumble in his melancholy. If he wasn't brought back, he can manage. But if Kristen were trapped in a place where bad things happened to good people and loving fathers turn their backs on their sons and Chosen Ones are random… The thought fills him with adrenaline, staring up at the empty night sky, listening to his friends’ quiet breathing.
Kristen didn't deserve to die. And if that's true, then Gorgug didn't deserve to die either.

Summary
After asking for Unit's help with distracting Mr. Hopclap, Gorgug invites Unit over for a study session.
He swears it was only so he could explain himself and to actually study for their test. It's definitely not because he has a growing crush on his classmate.
He might have gotten his MCAT signed, but he definitely still didn't have any free time to even consider any hint of romantic feelings.

Summary
Because that was what they were – fighters. The brawn, the grunts. The ones who do the stabbing while the key players cast the spells and deal the finishing blows. Fabian just needed to remember his place, that all his fancy dancing and squeaking Badidas shoes were the glitter on the rubbish heap. Kipperlilly was a mastermind, an expert in secrecy and skullduggery, far more effective than he could ever be.
Still. His sword explodes out of the other side of Ivy’s chest and Kipperlilly does not—does not—flinch.
The final battle in the name of rage in the Aguefort gym from Kipperlilly Copperkettle's point of view.
