And he did. Stain was skilled and he had many blades, both literal and metaphorical. It would be near impossible for a hero of Nagisa’s skill level to beat him, steel to steel.
But Nagisa didn’t need to beat him. Because he didn’t need to be a hero, not to do this.
“Voila,” Koro-sensei said. “A trivial adversary indeed.
“Now, use that trusty blade to fillet him.”

When Midoriya Izuku was born into the world it was on a day of downpour. July 15th the boy came into the world, his wails rattling the windows and bursting the light bulbs in the delivery room. His screams made the staffs ears bleed and they could taste misfortunes to come, the only one left unaffected was his mother Midoriya Inko. As soon as she cradled her baby boy to her chest his crying had ceased, and as his crying ceased as did the rain.
The staff had backed away from this child, this child who unknowingly held divine power and made the world shift to his whims. When Midoriya Izuku opened his eyes for the first time it was like looking into a supernova, his eyes held thousands of dying galaxies, while birthing them anew.
His tired mewls made the plant life in a 30 foot vicinity suddenly burst with life once more, even if it was already decomposing. He held the power to cause life and death in tiny infantile hands.
July 15th when Midoriya Izuku was birthed, a young God was reborn.

In all fairness, Izuku really didn't think his life could get worse.

Pretty hard to do when there's no way out and he's starting from scratch with some of the best heroes, including his uncle, on his tail. The sudden discovery of a quirk definitely isn't helping, but it's not like he can do anything else but keep surviving and hope for the best.

(In which Izuku can't die, is forced into living, and makes it everyone's problem. His loved ones disagree with calling it a 'problem', but that's their business.)
