Regulus has accepted his duty, his fate, that is, he had until a certain blood traitor begins to insert himself into Regulus' space, dolefully checking in on him, winding him up beyond all reason until Regulus cannot bear to ignore him a moment longer. But duty and fate have a way of catching up to a person and Regulus can't escape what is expected of him. As war approaches and sides are picked James and Regulus find themselves on opposite sides of the war and Regulus has to decide between expectation and devotion.
