[Takes place when c!Ghostbur dies/c!Wilbur gets revived. It directly trails off of being in the prison]
Ghostbur died? He didn't notice, but Dream said it, and it made sense. He talked in the train car, only to get shoved out and left completely on his own. After some loneliness sets in, he (dissociates and) reflects on a past memory of himself with Tommy. It was a snowy, cold day for that teenager to be so stupid.

He decided that this was high enough, despite half of a stack of blocks he still had in his inventory. Looking down, he realized just how high he was. Hundreds of feet in the air, with no chance of survival. Perfect.
Looking out to the ocean, Tommy raised his hand to flip off wherever Dream had disappeared to.
And then he jumped.

cheers filled the air. tommy's ears buzzed with cheers of the clivains, cheering for tommy's mentor, dream. or better off known as shriek. he was finally announced as number one. the top spot, just for him. "congratulations mr shriek, you're officially number one. I hope you bring honor to our city and protect what's right in the world. unlike others." the president of the hero corporation spoke.
"I will, I shall never fail." shriek flashed a quick smile. his eyes gazing over the crowd, casting his eyes at tommy. "me and you, rockstar. us against the world, forever—" "until the end." tommy finished the sentence. a quick nod sent towards dream. "well, I must finish my speech, go ahead and play toms." dream whispered, turning to the crowd.
dream and tommy against the world, that's how it always was. ever since tommy was a baby, dream found him even if he was a kid himself. him and dream against the world. nothing could change that. ever.

Wilbur's wings were tattered rags by the time he died. Tommy could vividly remember how he watched the color fade from his brother's feathers back in the bowels of Pogtopia, watching as dust hid away the sheen and Wilbur ripped out fistfuls of down out of stress and a budding madness. The twin appendages, once brilliantly glossy, beautiful, and capable of flight, quickly became weakened, scarred, and ruined.
Unfortunately, this meant that by the time Ghostbur came along as a wisp of Wilbur's fragile and fading soul, his brother's ruined wings had come with him.
So he... Got an idea. A probably stupid, dumb, bad idea, but it was the best idea he had and no one else seemed bothered enough to volunteer new suggestions for the peanut gallery. The idea was this: Tommy, armed with his subpar sewing skills and inborn knowledge of wings, was going to make Ghostbur a pair of faux wings.
Or, Tommy sews and reflects on the effect Pogtopia had on him. Also, crimeboys bonding!

All he could see was darkness. An inky black void of pure nothingness filled his vision, his weightless body floating endlessly across pitch black, consciousness barely keeping itself together.
And then, everything hit him all at once, a bone-piercing chill sent shivers all over his hunched form, mouth wide open as he inhaled gasps of desperate oxygen. Except, no sound was made out of his vocal cords when he did so. Something is horribly wrong.
As he flicked his gaze up, he found his vision purely fixated on one position only, unable to move his pupils anywhere, no matter how hard he tried and tried. Nothing moved. What confused him even more was the view that he could only see; a really pixelated 480p sight of an elevator with vaguely fake-marble walls and floors, elevator doors made wholly out of mirrors directly placed in front of the claustrophobic space.
(Or, AU where Wilbur is a ghost stuck in an elevator, and he couldn't remember anything. Yet fluff and crack still ensue.)

I do not support Wilbur Soot in any way, shape or form. I wrote this fic way before the allegations of abuse against him were released. Had any of us been aware of his actions sooner, I would have never considered including any characters associated with him in my works.
I choose to keep this fic up because I held the character of Ghostbur very near and dear to my heart back in my DSMP days, and I do not wish to let the actions of a horrible man take that away from me. I want to try to separate the character from the person who wrote him, and I implore you to do the same.

Tallulah felt herself drift away deeper into the void of black. She despised the color, for it reminded her of the musty and cramped attic she found refuge in prior to Wilbur taking her in. The tireless nights spent crying herself to sleep, playing a melody on a dusty flute that she barely played because no one could hear, or want to hear, her melody.
The void began to solidify into a setting, blurred greenery meshed with a clear aubergine sky, speckled with stars. The rush of a train began to course through Tallulah’s ears, as she covered them to muffle the sounds of screeching metal-on-metal. She’d never heard or been on a train before, but she didn’t particularly like it.
The train continued on and on for as long as what Tallulah thought an eternity felt like. She passed by many silhouettes that resembled stations but they did not stop until this one, where Tallulah was forcibly shoved off.Or; tallulah dies and goes to limbo and meets ghostbur...
