Through time the story has been told of the Hero and the Princess who together defeat evil, becoming a legend.
The royal family of Hyrule would always have the certainty that the incarnation of the Goddess Hylia with the sacred power will be born among them, but it was always an uncertainty to know who would be the hero bearing the sword that bends the darkness.
Until ten thousand years ago when Ganon the Calamity attacked the kingdom, since then they decided to keep the hero's offspring close by for when the Calamity returned, noble converts and important members of the Royal Guard.

With Mipha incessantly on his mind within the past few months, nothing could mask the fact that Revali was completely enamored by the girl ever since they met—albeit their first meeting being, well, less than ideal. The perfect combination of witty, awkward, timid, and cute flowing in her veins was enough to capture his attention, even so causing her to become a song stuck in his head. It was irritating, to say the least, but at least he got to see her once again today.

Link has finished his work in Zora's Domain, but continues to make the grueling trip back all the way from Hebra for diving lessons.
Gruve is mostly left alone, since he serves no purpose in his community, other than with Link he feels dehumanized (dezoraized?).
So, in the weeks left to himeslf, Gruve gets a chance to think about their relationship as friends.
He wants to have a conversation about it when Link returns, but he lacks knowing Hylian Sign Language.
(One day I was playing BOTW and I had the grand idea to pair up Gruve and Link, just to see where my imagination went, y'know? Decided to leave this fic because I couldn't get into Gruve's brain firmly, y'know? So now it's just a oneshot)

Including, as painful as it may be, to remember the Rito champion and their once shared friendship.

The Calamity Ganon—an ancient evil which has plagued the Kingdom of Hyrule for a century—has fallen to the hands of the hero, Link, and the princess, Zelda. Though they were victorious in sealing the beast, the monstrous servants of the Calamity still linger, and the most of the kingdom was lost to time and taken over by the wild. Opting to forgo their titles and start a new life as regular travelers before starting to rebuild the kingdom, Link and Zelda begin their new life in the Era of the Wild, trying to discover why the monsters still exist.
Little do they know, someone might be guiding them toward a quite unexpected trial...
