He started hearing those whispers again, just at the edge of his consciousness, just loud enough to be a mere whisper now, to be barely, but nonetheless heard.
He wasn’t suicidal, not really. But that didn’t mean he always thought he really deserved to be still kicking, either. Or that he never thought of death.
