Bruce and Diana hold an intervention for Clark who's slowly loosing touch with his secret identity. Bruce is too much of a mess to take it seriously, but that's okay because Clark is too full of himself to take it seriously either. At least Diana is there to be the agony aunt. Nevertheless, they try to reach a resolution in some way shape or form that may or may not be gay. I needed to keep the story interesting for myself somehow, okay?

With a final yank of his chest, the creature erupts from him, enormous and inky black. Riz can’t make out its shape, not with the corners of his vision starting to turn fuzzy and gray, but he’s afraid of it all the same. It speaks, though Riz can make out no obvious mouth, in a deep, gravely voice.
“You have spoken the name of the Night Yorb.” The eldritch creature spins in a circle, whipping up an intense wind and throwing dark orbs through the air that blot out the sunlight. “An age of darkness forevermore!”

“I need you to be good, Hizashi. It’s been a lot lately, and I need you to be good.”
Fingers halfway to his mouth, Hizashi paused, his eyes narrowing, and then continued on like it'd never happened, popping the chip into his mouth with a firm crunch.
"I don't need to be good, Shouta." Hizashi replied, chewing casually. "I have to tell you to be good because you get messy as hell and don't know how to hold your shit sometimes, but fortunately for us both, I don't have that issue."
[Or: Adjusting to the inevitable changes as they welcome a vulnerable new addition into their lives isn't as easy as Hizashi thought it would be. Unforeseen fears make themselves known and Shouta is forced to step in and be responsible as more than a budding new father.]

Logan reaches around Wade to grab his wrists in one hand, effectively pinning him in place.
His mouth is a gentle contrast against Wade’s cheek, brushing a series of lazy, soft kisses along his jaw. Wade turns his head, lips catching Logan’s for just a second, before Logan moves to bite at his ear instead, chest rumbling against Wade’s with a deep, teasing chuckle.
“Oh, come on,” Wade whines, through the laughter threatening to bubble up his throat, “stop being an asshole—”
“Uhm, Wade?” Jubilee asks from where she's standing in the open door, mouth pursed.
Oopsie.
[5 times the kids think they’re witnessing Logan’s abusive behavior towards Wade, plus the 1 time they (and Magneto, for some reason) hold an adorably well-meaning but totally unnecessary intervention about it.]
