Nancy watches her, struck by the way the overhead lights reflect in her eyes and make them glitter. She’s really fucking pretty, with a smattering of freckles that Nancy hadn’t noticed before, and choppy bangs that fall into her eyes. When she turns to Nancy and starts talking about the painting, her expression lights up to the point where everything else falls away and all Nancy can focus on is her. She talks about her inspiration for the painting; how she’d repressed her sexuality during her teenage years, the freedom and relief she’d felt upon coming out and living authentically.
Nancy is so fucking thankful for her eidetic memory in this moment, because she’s supposed to be writing all of this down but she’s way too busy admiring the way Robin’s voice curls around every syllable.
