Dr Solas 'Doc' Wolff (MD, PhD and two effs) and Detective Ellana 'Ellie' Lavellan head to the city of Kirkwall to help get Varric out of a sticky situation. She's still on medical leave following the events of the Blighted Butcher, but she couldn't possibly turn down a friend, especially not when the mystery is so juicy.
See, people have started turning up dead, in ways very reminiscent of the works of one Varric Tethras, Esquire. And this new detective on the case, well it seems she's got it out for him.
