Summary
Ferelden survived the Blight after the Grey Wardens united the lands to face against the darkspawn and the Archdemon, but after six months, the darkspawn are stirring again, and in strange ways. The Grey Wardens of Ferelden are forced to abandon their reconstruction efforts and reunite again to stop this new threat, and work to properly rebuild their Order in Ferelden.
But not only do they have to deal with the darkspawn (even worse, talking darkspawn), they also have to deal with their own problems that have grown during and after the Blight.

A short story about my tabris, dealing with the last day/night before the final battle in the game; he's dealing with like a lot of anxiety and guilt over both rejecting Morrigan's offer, and also like what will he see in Denerim. I've got no creativity when it comes to names, so that's why his name is Darian. This lack of creativity when it comes to names will be an issue throughout my work lol.
Dead bodies are described, in a way that I don't think is too graphic, but also I'm not too sure to be honest, so I thought I'd give this warning -- if you're unable to deal with the depictions of death by the blight in the games, then maybe this is not for you to read? Dead bodies aren't described too frequently, but it's present.
Also apparently AO3 doesn't like tabs when it comes to formatting, or I don't know how to add them, so apologies for the formatting...

Tabris doesn't let people close easily, but Alistair has a way of getting stuck under your skin. Not like burrs, because he doesn't want to pull him out. The point is, when he finds out someone close to him has been hurt, Tabris wants to take away that pain the only way he knows how: to hurt back.
