    Damian raised an eyebrow at her, his glasses slightly steamed up from standing so close to the door. 

    “Can I not dote on my gorgeous and hard-working girlfriend who pushes herself way too hard?” 

    She pursed her lips suspiciously as she studied him. His tone was innocent, too innocent.

    “You can….” She began slowly gaging his reaction. “But I have the feeling I have yet again overlooked an important occasion. So what do I need to make up for this time?” 

    Damian panicked a little at that. Shit! This was not in the plan! Damn it! He had forgotten his girlfriend tended to lean into the worst-case often. She had been running herself ragged all week, not that she noticed or cared. But he did. He thought he would pamper her a bit knowing that if she had her way she would work this weekend as well if he didn't distract her. Besides, he had been toying around with an idea and after all the fun yesterday and the warmth and love she inspired in him had solidified his plan.
