Concrete walls make up everything in here. They're all grey, and some of them are damp with patches of thin moss and lichen growing around the cool, crystalline water that seeps from them. Even with all the concrete, it's far from cold in here, the concrete is always warm, keeping everything the perfect temperature; goosebumps are a stranger on Simon's skin.
The concrete hallways might be windowless and uniform, but people can wander to their hearts content if only they have the free time for that. Some of them do and some of them don't, but there's space for everyone. He can wander forever in here and never get lost, because every turn he takes will eventually loop him back to the same place: that short corridor with fake doors built onto its walls at perfect intervals.
There might not be a way out any of them can use, but there doesn't need to be.

As punishment for Khonshu's violent acts, he is imprisoned and his avatar is stripped of power. Fearing the avatar's retribution and potential attempt to bring back the exiled God, the other Gods come to the decision to strip the avatar of its memories, its very identity, and leave it to live a new life somewhere far away where their paths would never cross again.
Some part of the plan goes awry. Some part of the spell doesn't work out.
It would've gone unnoticed if one day, one confused gift store worker hadn't looked in the mirror and seen a man with his face and his name but with nothing else in common looking back at him.
(Or- the one where I put both versions of Steven Grant together and made an absolute abomination of a storyline out of it.)

Shifting the fates of those around him and continuing to be a brother, son, or nephew to those he chooses. Izuku reforms Hero Society, changes the yakuza, and takes down those who would harm those he loves with little more than a gun and gall to do so.
