Rhys is just trying to make a living. Granted, she makes that living by snuffing out other people's lives, but beggars can't be choosers. One thing leads to another, and now she's sheltering Giann von Hagen and Neil Hume. That's all fine and dandy, except Giann is being annoying about how much he misses Marius and wants to see him and let him know he's okay.
After two years, she finally caves, and decides to pay the current NXX Investigation Team a visit. Except, no one told her that Agent Raven was on the team, or that her past would come back to haunt her. After getting involved with this investigation team, everything in her life seems to spiral out of control and there's little she can do to stop it. She knew she should've just stayed home.

When he opens the front door, he’s not met with anybody from the team. Not Artem and his usually unreadable expression strained with concern, not Vyn and his perceptive gaze taking in all the details of Luke’s form, not Marius and his deliberately casual aura as if he’s trying his best not to scare Luke off with his sincerity, not even Ria wearing a small frown that sends a stab of pain straight into Luke’s chest. No, it’s not any of them.
It’s the man who’s already seen Luke at his worst, so Luke figures it would be fine to let him see it again.
“I brought takeout.” Aaron says, leaning against the doorway with a paper bag in his arms. “Care for a midnight snack, kid?”

The team tell Luke he should think about seeing a therapist, and he’s ashamed to have gotten to this point. Ashamed to have failed so badly he needs to be fixed.
Aaron comes over to talk to him.

“This is nice,” Artem blurted out before he could think better of it.
Vyn raised one eyebrow at him, “What, nearly getting killed in a hit-and-run because you were holding crucial information you obtained from an illegal black auction is nice? Putting both yourself and Rosa in danger is nice?”
“No,” Artem replied with a small smile, meeting his gaze. “Being taken care of by you is nice.”
