Even then, though she had not yet known his name, the weight of his gaze had settled upon her like a curse—one that, no matter how she struggled, she would never quite shake.

AU! This work is only relatively connected to the events of the original work ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. The initial wish to change Erik's character to a female one led to a complete rework of the plot. But in the course of the story, there will be references to key scenes of the original, which will be presented and viewed from a completely different angle.
Also, I do not claim to have deep knowledge in the field of opera, music, architecture and history, but I try to take into account the historical context and realities of that time.
