She can think of only two explanations. Either she blacked out somehow and ended up back in Dormont, or none of that actually happened.
But neither of those make sense…If anyone were to be trapped like this, Odile is glad that it's her.

Summary
They did it, the King is dead and Vaugarde is saved.
It took all of their strength and determination, plus a mysteriously stellar performance from Siffrin while climbing the House, but their quest is at an end. There is nothing left to do.
And so the saviors separate and go their own ways. Each burdened by all that they left unsaid and an uneasy sense of regret.But the Universe still has a wish to fulfill and this ending does not suffice. The saviors will find that splitting up is not as easy as they expect.
In fact it might be impossible.

Summary
Siffrin remembers that they had been to Ka Bue at least once. What they don't remember is that he'd listened to the same Vaugardian merchant that Odile had, both standing there with tears running down their cheeks and thinking about what had been taken from them. Odile doesn't remember all that much about it either, probably thanks to the alcohol when she'd decided to drown her sorrows and make herself forget about her grief.

"That does sound like the most obvious answer, doesn't it? But we bump into a bit of a shadeless area if we think about Mirabelle's needle sword under those lens. It doesn't offer any clear boons aside from being sharper and, as far as can observed, less prone for wear and tear. Nothing directly measurable, like Siffrin's gardening scissors, which makes his attacks stronger but slower."
Loop listens to you with an attentive gaze. When you're done, they close their eyes in a thoughtful way. You don't think you ever saw them look so calm.
"I see your point. It is a curious thing to think about."
