Summary
There is nothing in the galaxy so fragile as peace.
The New Republic is failing. Despite the high hopes of its parent organization, the Rebel Alliance, it seems that replacing the ruling power in the galaxy isn't as easy as simply flipping a switch. Plagued by petty politics, age-old feuds, and an unwillingness to adopt any policies even remotely endorsed by the late Galactic Empire, the fledgling senate is finding it difficult to pass policies and nearly impossible to enforce them. Adding to the mess is the extreme reclusiveness of rebel hero and Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, who maintains his new Jedi Academy on a remote and secret location and rebuffs all appeals to involve himself or his students in politics, and an increasingly unstable Outer Rim.
Now, faced with foes without and within, it falls to a new generation of heroes to defend the balance of the Force. But they must learn quickly from the mistakes of the past, or they may find themselves doomed to repeat them....

Kylo Ren is sent to find a tall blue-eyed woman from a planet thats a little too close to home for Phasma's liking.This fan fiction runs with the sequel story line as well as references to Phasma's background that is spoken about in 'Aftermath' and 'Phasma'. As theres so much in the Star Wars universe I'm bound to get a few (probably a lot) of things wrong so I do apologise!

AS: Try something like The Mandalorian. But instead of a badass warrior taking care of a baby Yoda, it's a badass chrome warrior taking care of a baby Wookiee. A Wookiee kiddie running loose on a star destroyer and Phasma's not allowed to kill him; comedy gold.

As unbelievable as that is, when he first came aboard the Finalizer as co-commander Kylo Ren tried to make friends with Armitage Hux. Back when Ren was still the new kid who was much too awkward even while wearing a glorified black bucket over his head that apologized when stumbling into mouse droids and Hux was the frightening figure looming over the bridge in his underdeveloped pre-growth-spurt glory of five foot seven.
Obviously it's a wasted effort, because this goes as poorly as can be expected. It goes to show that the only positive interaction he has with Ren that properly qualifies as such, beyond screaming matches about broken equipment, is when Ren almost dies and Hux is forced to save his black-clad behind from Starkiller Base as the latter is crumbling in on itself. Years after Ren comes on board and they have settled into a hesitant, somewhat hateful camaraderie based on petty rivalry.
-> Also, having someone wonder What The Fuck Is The Force™ because, someone had to. At some point in history someone had to have asked. (And gotten way more than they bargained for as a result.)
