Summary
Soap is dead.
And Ghost loved him.
Killed by a bullet through the head, bleeding out on unforgiving concrete. Not a single mercy given in the last moments he drew breath.
An idea, a little electrical impulse, a twitch of a finger, a small piece of metal, taking with it everything. Unmooring Ghost from the safety of land after he just made it out of the stormy waters of his life
-
John "Soap" MacTavish is killed in the tunnel, his body is buried under rubble.
Ghost has lost so many people in his life, so many having been taken from him. Yet it never gets easier, grief never easier to bear and he loses himself in it.

Summary
Clearly seeing the confusion on Soap's face, Price cuts to the chase. “How much contact do you have with your family, son?”
“Not much sir…. Why?” Soap’s starting to get nervous again.
“Do you know of a Matthew MacTavish?” Price asks, brows furrowing.
Ah, now that’s a name Soap hasn’t heard in over a decade. “Why?” Soap drops eye contact with the captain.
“Matthew’s the head of the trafficking ring, do you know him?” Soap doesn't see it, but the others in the room tense. Waiting for his answer.
“Ah– Um. yeh ah ken ‘im. He’s–” accent thickening with anxiety, Soap clears his throat. “He’s my.. He’s my Father.”
or:
Soap's father is found out to be the head of a criminal/terrorist organisation, one that's trying to take Makarov's place. Soap will have to face his past along with this team, will soap be able to stay calm or will he just has to accept his teams help.

Summary
Ghost is bleeding out in a civilian clinic. Comms are down. The asset refuses to tell the whole story.
John should be focused on extraction - but instead, he’s stuck in a room with a woman he never thought he'd see again. With adrenaline running high and time running out, memories start creeping in - of losses, shifting lines, and everything they left unsaid.
Told in flashbacks and present-day crisis, this is a slow-burn story set post MW-III about loyalty, fallout, and the people you can’t leave behind.

Summary
The average person tends to have 45 thoughts per minute, which results in roughly 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts per day. Now, what would you do if you could hear the thoughts of people you’re touching?
With the 141’s last mission ending up very badly, resulting in a fleeing Makarov and a very much injured and comatosed Soap, the 141 was forced to halt its operations for the time being. As luck would have it, something was happening with Soap that couldn’t be explained by anything. Starting with his awakening way too early for a head injury that bad, Soap began to feel something stirring in his body.

Summary
Sent undercover as the bodyguard of a powerful crime family's heiress, Soap must balance his mission with a growing connection he can't ignore. Ilaria de Montevi is suffocating under the weight of her family's criminal empire, desperate for escape. When tensions build and loyalties are tested, the line between duty and desire blurs. But in a world where betrayal means death, falling for each other might be the most dangerous mistake of all.

Summary
Vessel shouldn't feel like he does. He has his band, he has Sleep, his music is listened to millions of people across the world. He should be happy. He shouldn't feel like half of himself is missing. So he lets III drag him to the pub with the others after their last ritual.
Ghost hadn't been the same since Makarov had killed Soap. Forced onto leave and bored out of his mind, a concert and a night at the pub would at least take his mind off of the guilt that was slowly eating him alive for a bit.
Sleep just wants her vessel to be happy. She's not above meddling to make it happen.

Summary
“C’mon lad,” Price says. “How are you really?”
“Less miserable today than yesterday,” Ghost says quietly. It's easier to speak when he isn’t making eye contact with anyone; easier to admit to the hurt that still aches between his ribs.
Price’s fingers tighten on the back of his neck, then loosen. “That’s good,” he says. “That’s a good start.”
(After Soap's death, Price and Ghost have a conversation.)

How do you tell a dog from an SAS sergeant?
Soap's been trying to think of a punchline, but so far, all he's got is a dog’s gotta shit in the woods and bury it slightly more often than an SAS Sergeant.

Summary
“Two guys walk into a bar,” Ghost says.
“Not in the mood,” Johnny growls.
Silence.
“The third ducks.”
“Bleeding Jesus, Ghost,” Johnny mutters.
“Why don’t dinosaurs talk?” Ghost asks. He rocks back on his heels, face still pointed upwards.
“I’m not doing this with you,” Johnny says.
“Why don’t dinosaurs talk, Johnny?”
There’s a perfect stream of water falling off the ends of a branch a few yards off. It’s making a tiny pond in the forest floor far below, a pond that is slowly swelling out of its banks and turning into a river, trickling through fallen leaves and bracken. Johnny stares at that, refusing to meet Ghost’s eyes. He’d swung his gaze around to look at Johnny, head tilted slightly down, eyes glinting light through the darkness of the mask and greasepaint. That look turns Johnny’s spine to jello, breaks down his resolve and makes something dangerous warm in his stomach. He doesn’t know if Ghost is aware that he does it, if he knows how fast Johnny’s resolve crumbles at that look.
“Why don’t they talk, ye fuckin’ bobber?” Johnny says through grit teeth.
“Because they’re dead.”

Summary
When Soap is abducted by Konni during the mission in Siberia and replaced by someone who looks and speaks just like him, he's left without hope of rescue, at the mercy of Makarov's sick plans. After all, the 141 doesn't know it wasn't Soap with them in the Chunnel that fateful day.
Years later, a showdown between Ghost and Makarov's pet—a seemingly inhuman soldier and perpetual thorn in the 141's side—reopens old wounds, and despite the bloody mess, the results might just give them all a chance to heal.
With a side of revenge, of course.
