Dehydration was always a pain in the ass, but after three straight nights of partying, his body is practically begging for relief. He eyes the text once again, re-reading it over and over until the full weight of the words sink in. Every text he ever receives from Vessel feels like a tether around his chest, and he can’t decide whether to pull free or suffocate quietly in compliance with his wishes.
