It's in pieces, every relationship frayed and tattered because he reacted before he processed, let his emotions carry him straight to the Devil's Den, selling his soul and damning them all in the process.
He wishes he could call... any of them. Wishes he could pick up the phone and let himself drown in their anecdotes and affirmations, or that he could show up on their doorsteps and ask for help.
But he's long broken whatever support system he had, reacting too quickly, so used to being left behind that he didn't stop long enough to listen.

Summary
Buck was still reeling a bit from what Maddie told him about having a brother. About Daniel. So he decides he needs to confront Chimney, because it's too obvious that she told him about the big family secret that Buck knew nothing about. Bobby agrees to let them use his office as a sort of neutral ground for discussions because he doesn't like his firefighters being at odds, especially after what he put Buck through after the lawsuit.
Things ... turn out better than Buck expected.
