Summary
Everything had gone wrong so fast.
The merge happened, a cataclysmic event that ruptured the realms and tore apart reality.
Time seemed to shatter in the vantage point, so many points in time flashing through the splintering universe.The ninja tried desperately to stop it and save whoever they could, but chaos ripped through the realms. Thick, orange magma crackled and gleamed amongst the crimson light, and no matter what the ninja did, no matter what they threw at it…
Reality seemed to shatter, the Destiny’s Bounty ripped apart mid-air. The ninja and anyone they managed to save were sent flying through the cracks in reality. Light enveloped the world before…
It was over.

The merge fucked up even more things as the past, present, and future events smashed themselves together alongside the other realms. And suddenly there's multiple kingdoms and the ninja are not surviving well. At all.
Meanwhile, Arin and Sora are just struggling to survive without the usual stability in canon. Fun times.

Lloyd woke up in the experiment room in imperium. Lloyd was confused on why he was there until he saw something he didn't want to see. A giant file was on a desk the biggest file to exist to be exact. He was horrified by what he saw next. In giant bold writing on the file said 'Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon Extremely Dangerous Do Not Interact With Subject' he didn't know what to do with this information, so he flipped the file to the first page. On the first page had a form saying:subject: Lloyd Garmadon Species:Dragon,Oni,Human Danger level:Unknown Element:Energy/Life Additional power:Oni power, Golden form/DRAGON POWER. they found out his secret the one group of people he didn't want to find out found out his biggest secret. 'SHIT' he thought to himself, he was angry, he was scared, he was panicking. He thought it was all over untill he woke up to realise that nya hugged him close then he realised that the whole team was there staring back at him. Nya, kai, jay, Cole, Zane, sora, arin, wyldefyre. They were wondering what was happening to there leader. But he realised that was a vision.

After freeing the Dragons from captivity and steering clear away from Imperium for a few months, Lloyd's solo mission on infiltrating the City for more information about the Source Dragon went south— a conversation with the Dragon was overheard by the Claws Of Imperium, revealing that he was part Oni and Dragon which piqued the Empress's interest.
Too bad that Lloyd was now the interest of the Empress's cruel experiments, seems like she would be getting a new source of power very, very soon.

Sora doesn’t know why looking into Ras’s eyes filled her with so much rage.
Sora doesn’t know why she felt such deep-rooted fear that flared up when she saw Zeatrix for the first time.
Sora doesn't know why that Imperium girl hated her so much.
The strange stabbing feeling at her heart whenever she looked at her, felt like someone had died.
Maybe something did.
Because Sora escaped Imperium.
And Ana died on a stake.

Hours passed, and Lloyd searched every single inch of the monastery for a single clue of where the others could've been. Even the totally wrecked library! It appeared that the library was the only room that was damaged. Scrolls were scorched and scattered everywhere, like a tornado of fire came in and decided to cause a storm. He felt his heart sink when he noticed Master Wu's burned notes.
"There goes finding out what caused the Merge and how we can stop it," Lloyd muttered and kicked a scroll. Only for it to roll open and show a drawing. Seems he missed something. He recognized it as something that he had doodled before the Grundle incident.
He let out a chuckle, but he froze when he saw what the drawing actually was.
It was the Merge.
He drew the Merge when he was a child.
