The lad didn't have a sword, instead he had a bow hanging from his back and not even ten arrows with him. What on Earth was happening? What was an archer doing in the middle of the fucking battlefield?

He wonders if this is how he dies. Trapped inside this cold, dark prison. He wonders if this is what it's like to be thrown away; cast aside by his creators when he was deemed a "failure".
Compared to the others, he supposes he is. He also supposes this death is only slightly above dying back at the lab due to some unfortunate "mishap" like so many before him.
He never expected to be this lonely.
Akihito spends the better part of his life in a lab, scientists hell-bent on creating the perfect specimen; however, when he doesn't appear to quite be what they want, he's abandoned. It's only by fluke, that he meets a man named Asami Ryuichi, the CEO of the leading Robotics company SiON.

The same two ladies from yesterday had just exited the temple after talking with Priest Akihito, although instead of their usual cheerful demeanor, they were a little worried.
“Did you see the Saint’s wrists?”
“They were so red! And his neck had bruises all over it.”
“Poor Priest Akihito, I wonder what happened to him? He’s always red and bruised….”
“But today, his leg seemed hurt because he was limping quite a bit.”
The women kept walking toward their home, speculating why the Saint had been hurt, unaware that they were walking by the person responsible for hurting Priest Akihito.
Lord Asami’s hood, though covering his face in shadows, did nothing to hide his grin and gleaming eyes.

I started writing Asami/Aki when I was still in high school, and now five years later I have entered full adult life with other obligations and creative outlets.

Asami, Mikhail and Fei Long find out who is behind Chernobog and search for a way to deal with him, while their private lives and loves and longings get into the way.
Each chapter written from a different point-of-view: Asami, Fei Long, Mikhail, Sakazaki, Aaron, Sudou and Akihito.
(Contains spoilers for Finder's chapter 88 and starts about 4 weeks after that.)
