Forcing Future's secrets out of him, Angel ended up flooding Aki with a stream of desperate pictures of what "dying in the worst possible way" could mean.Not sure of what he saw, one need emerged, though: Aki decides on the one thing he thought he'd never do, and leave.
Even on a run, Aki remains thoughtful, his actions cautious. Despite that, he offers the Angel Devil to come with him. He doesn't know why.
Maybe time will tell, before it takes everything else. -

The thing sitting in the third row was not a human despite its outer skin mimicking that of one. Denji could tell this the moment he stepped through the door. The thing sitting in the third row moved even while it was sitting. It spoke even when it wasn’t. Its entire being deteriorated and was birthed again, it died and came back to life and all the steps between that. Denji could not bring himself to properly look at it. Looking at it felt as though he would look directly at the sun. Or some other great large thing he couldn’t truly comprehend.

A decade ago, the Gun Devil rummaged through the earth in search of the Chainsaw Devil, leaving a long trail of blood and scarring the world. Many sought to avenge their fallen family and friends by becoming devil hunters and sacrificing themselves to form contracts with other devils, hoping to kill the Gun Devil eventually.
Amongst those devil hunters was Izuki Kyoukawa, who traded parts of his lifespan and identity to gain the power of healing. Unlike the other devil hunters, his contract also left him unsuitable for the battlefield, leaving him to the sidelines instead. That is... until Miss Makima summoned him to take part in a particular experiment, to live with a devil who happened to possess somebody familiar.

Still, helping one kid adjust to the big city and looking out for him, for just as much as devil hunting? If there was something she could do, it was look after a kid for a bit. She could help a teenager adjust to a new life. Maybe. Hopefully. If she didn't fuck it up.
