Summary
Post BtVS S-7, AtS S-5. Post-ghost Spike is in L.A., but Angel is not letting him help or feel useful. While the gang is out on a job, Spike finds letters written to Angel from Buffy saying that she loved Spike and that she was proud of what he'd become.
Spike stows away on a corporate jet to France and makes his way to London to find his slayer.
In London, a grieving Buffy has done some research and found William's former home. The current owner has a room for rent. Buffy pretends to be interested, and tells the landlady she's a student doing her thesis on the Victorian Era, She's allowed to look in the attic at some of artifacts. There she finds William's old journals, etc.
Buffy is drawn back to the house.
Exerp:
Buffy made her way back to the second floor...Slowly, she walked down the hall to the bedroom that had been William’s and stopped...Buffy had just started to turn the doorknob, when she heard the slightest creak in the floorboards beyond the door, her spidey senses tingling with a familiar sensation.
Who's behind the door?

Spike. Buffy. Adam. Spike’s impulsive, but he’s not stupid; if he wants to get that chip out, he'll have to give the demonic Tony Robbins some motivation. Romance, action, smartassery, and Riley punchage. Fluffy S/B, branches off mid-“Yoko Factor.”

She remembers the letters. They came in folded packets sealed with red wax, and the handwriting was always smooth and elegant, even if the sonnets were lumpy. She burned them, mostly. A Spuffyesque oneshot.

Summary
The secret about Spike was that he wasn't like those he traveled with. In fact he was fairly certain he was unlike any vampire he knew. They all relied on instinct and their harsh, dark nature but he never wanted to kill.
A vampire that didn't want to kill. What kind of vampire was that?

She'd gone far far away from Sunnydale. From herself. Her name. Her calling. She didn't want any contact with the old life. Much less him. That pain-in-the-ass vampire. "Spike." She punched at the eyes floating before her; but he ducked and she pitched forward. He caught her before she fell face down in the filth. "What is this?" She wrenched herself free. "Since when do you help?" Set immediately post-season 2. Buffy's run all the way to NY, and encounters a Spike who feels he's made a bad bargain.

Summary
Several years after the events of NFA, Buffy has settled in London where Dawn is catching up on her missed schooling in order to go to University in England. She buys an old house that she stumbled upon by accident while looking up Spike's past as William Pratt. One day, she finds a very confused and unusual vampire hiding from the sun in the back of her tool shed and, somewhat uncharacteristically, decides to let him remain there until the sun sets. He returns, saves Dawn from a bad bite, and in the process reveals exactly how injured and weak he is. Buffy wavers between putting him out of his misery and nursing him back to health. It may turn out that she is very glad her kinder instincts were at work that night...
