Summary
It's a cold and bitter October when Severus Snape receives a letter that changes his life. And not necessarily in a bad way. Life still sucks at Privet Drive for Harry, but not in an expected way... and since when is there an owl in his backyard? Since Moldy Shorts made her sister explode apparently.
Later on there's an excited Gryffindor bouncing in his office asking him questions about whether or not he and the other professors offer help to struggling students. Why does he enjoy the boy's company so much when he hates dealing with children?
