Summary
Many thought Ego Jinpachi was a madman. An incredibly twisted football fanatic with one goal in mind: To bring the Japanese team to win the World Cup. For that purpose, he experimented by gathering three hundred high-school forwards that he called unpolished gems from all over Japan.
He is the only one who dared to start a ground-breaking megaproject such as Blue Lock all for the sake of producing a single greatest striker among those three hundred. The absurdity of his plan has left JFU speechless and despite the opposition from many sides and in the face of complete disadvantage, he is still willing to risk everything to change the Japanese Soccer and elevate them to a higher level.
It’s only natural for him to pick his pupil Isagi Yoichi to be part of the experiment. A truly selfish, greedy, and egoistical mentor who keeps pushing him to break his limit.
Jinpachi sees a potential, value within Yoichi that no one else has. An ideal candidate for the type of striker he strives to create.
If Jinpachi wants to mold him into the greatest striker to win the World Cup and change the entirety of Japan soccer, then Yoichi will dedicate everything in his power to make his mentor's wish come true. -
