Summary
The first thing Chan notices about him is the heady scent of narcissus and jasmine, an intoxicating, narcotic mix of velvety indolence. The alluring and strangely familiar perfume carries on the early morning breeze, rising above the musty smells of the city.
Chan pauses, a little confused, but it is a stranger’s startled eyes that meets his, and the stranger pays him no more heed as he pushes past Chan towards his next destination. Chan blinks, coming to his senses as the morning crowd tsks and mutters their way around him, then heads back to the apartment he calls home with his mind in a fog.
Chan sleeps when the city wakes, but he is a vampire after all.

007n7 laid there in despair as the final call went to voicemail. He stared at his phone, the screen unbearably bright, yet he kept staring. He looked at his pitifully small list of contacts, one number that he saved standing out. Why he even had this number saved was beyond him, he was still afraid to even call it, even now when he was desperate.
…To hell with it.
It rang, not even reaching three rings before someone answered with a click. “Hello, this is Builder Brothers Pizza. How may I help?”
007n7 didn‘t say anything.
“…Hello? Is anyone there?”
He sighed and smiled, smiling for once in a long time. “…Sorry. Wrong number.”
“Huh? Wait—” The phone clicked as he hung up. 007n7 let the cellphone slip from his hands, dropping to the floor as he sighed once again. He was tired, tired of everything.
This was enough. If anything, he was glad he could talk to him one last time, albeit barely.
007n7 is depressed and Elliot discovers him too late.

Following Bellamy's corruption, he flees Gem society and finds himself isolated on a planet far off the starmaps. After a few hundred years, he's found by an eccentric band of traveling gems, most of which he's fairly sure are fugitives, and essentially adopted into this horribly incompatible group of four (now five). Through Bellamy's eyes, he witnesses these gems' stories one by one, finding these ridiculous figures far more tragic than he would have initially expected. Also, he learns what family is. That's a bonus, I guess.
