Summary
An Iterator gets bored and starts cataloging fauna and flora due to existing sources getting outdated as creatures evolve.
Finds a young, lonely Slugcat when observing the area near Five Pebbles and takes interest in it.Written from the Iterator's POV, supplemented by a narrator that describes the situation from the Slugcat's POV.
I was bored and wanted to share how incredibly violent some ways to die in rain world would realistically be. This is supposed to show how violent and how cute the Rain World™ can be. It's basically me interpreting how it could realistically look.
There isn't really that much gore, but the gore that is here is pretty violent, so keep that in mind.
Has some headcanon'y stuff to fill the world, feedback welcome.Inspired by Declining Enthalpy by epicgamerman.

Summary
Dying to a work-related accident is one thing, but waking up as an "Iterator" inside a massive box is another.
Now I need to somehow adopt and cope with my new existence while preserving what little sanity I have left. At least being a giant super computer gives me all the time and brain power I need to solve all of my problems…somewhat.
Like keeping those damn zealots at arm’s length and figuring out how to get out of his damn box.
First order of business, don't die a second time and to not cause too much psychological damage to myself.
Easier said than done. For one of them at least.

Summary
Iterators were built to last, to iterate for an eternity and longer to solve the great problem. The creation of Shifting Gales didn't follow that dogma, its acidic consequences at last having breached her veins, corroding her now from the inside out.
Cursed to waste away slowly, until dissolving into nothingness.
Gales' local group didn't accept the cruelty of fate, of the Ancients' distant mockery, and halted their primary objective to help their friend in peril.
As they worked tirelessly on a solution a small, soon-to-be glowing, Slugcat was purposed to fulfil a crucial mission.Series

Summary
The Void Fluid Revolution was an epoch of progress. An age of scientific discoveries, never seen before. - The Void Fluid Revolution was an age ruled by bloodshed.
The tribal Ancients, formerly a loosely unified collective of similar interests, were blinded by the possibilities of the golden liquid, overwhelmed by the technological leap of many centuries over the minuscule span of a few Major Cycles.
They forgot their roots and formed Houses to extort the world with no regard for the karmic virtues. And their numbers started dwindling. Reincarnations found themselves reborn in the forms of lower beings, punished for their hubris and neglect. Fewer and fewer remained, incapable on their own to withstand the freezing nature of their dying planet. It was a godless era, consumed by greed and ambition.
The Ancients direly required something to believe in, something to remind them of their neglected past. A gaze back at the Great Problem, the strife for ascension.
The House of String took it upon themselves to find that certain something - To research and construct the certain somebody to guide them - Iterator.

She's also one of few that has ever been confirmed as exhaustively incapacitated, or dead. We do not die easily.” - Looks To The Moon (Pale Yellow Pearl)
-
Sliver of Straw receives a strange file from an anonymous sender that shakes the foundations of what she believed she would always be bound to, but her newfound freedom comes at a cost. She will be forced to navigate the consequences of her decision, all while discovering what it means to truly be part of the cycle.
